The beat is flawless... The lyrics fuckin kill and the singing takes it to another level!

The Amsterdam version, yea! Classic track, classic Dilla beat!

Imani's background singin is much appreciated in this fan's ears.

Way Dilla could just transform the entire mood of the lyrics and flow with his beats. The beat he made for the original made the content seem jaunty and lighthearted, then he remixes his own shit and makes it sound poignant and soulful. The video too! It captures the soul of Hip-Hop...the pre-internet/ social media rawness...bunning zoots in Nike Sampras-court tracksuits and random meetings with people chilling and open to conversation instead of updating Twitter feeds and writing emotional and nostalgic comments on KZread videos...ooops!

I remember buying mine at tower records...

im one of those heads that always loved this type of hiphop and feel that the pharcyde is one of the dopest of all time. up there with tribe and de la. does any one else feel that way? even the dilla remix has its own remix video. both versions are fire. i wish they made shit like this still.
