@@Sonicguru well it actually goes by MEGA death egg robot. The core can go by egg phantom, though...

If I remember correctly, 2:23 the devs of mania said that the reason why Angel Island was in the ocean when Sonic and Tails arrived was because the Ruby distorted and temporarily nullified the Master Emerald's abilities - or at least it's ability to keep Angel Island in the air.

If the Phantom Ruby created itself, it creates an infinite loop of cause and effect. Perhaps there's more to Infinite's name than we thought

The Sonic franchise is just like Rouge. They sure love jewelry. Rings, Chaos & Super Emeralds, Time Stones, Master Emeralds, Sol Emeralds, and Phantom Ruby. Imagine them all together! Wow. They should replicas of the gems like they do with the Chaos Emeralds.

Also there is only ONE Master Emerald.

But that would mean that Classic Sonic is stuck in an infinite loop with the Phantom Ruby, doomed to repeat Forces and Mania. So wouldn’t that mean Sonic Mania Adventures is the canon timeline of Classic that somehow got out of the loop?

I hasn't been confirmed that it's non-canon, though; same with Encore Mode. They're basically both what-if scenarios after Classic Sonic's return from Forces that fans can choose from, going by Webber's take on this; which I find to be a really cool idea. There's really no right of wrong answer.

J.R. the Mustached Mirador tv shows/ series usually are never canon when it comes to video game characters. Sonic SATAM isn’t canon even tho it’s based on the Archie comics Same way Sonic Rebound isn’t gonna be canon, despite my series being an adaptation on the idw comics

@@GamerGuyd7Aces Right, but if you say "usually", then there are some exceptions that some animated media based on video games are canon to their respective video game that they are based on. What if Mania Adventures so happens to be that one exception if they decide to confirm it being the ultimate canon scenario? I'll be sticking to Aaron's word until further notice . . .if ever (Though I highly doubt it).

Okay, that may explain it, but there’s one glaring flaw. Where did Eggman go?

Whether you try to figure out outerversal beings or make sense of the Sonic lore... you'll just end up with a headace.

I just thought what if the phantom ruby was created by eggman after studying it’s future version and that’s how it is self created.

Same here! I wouldn't mind getting a semi-successor of sort to Forces that takes most of those concepts of that game and expands upon them; giving us something bigger, better, and more grandiose than Forces.

@@iannations2543 I know. Whether Encore Mode will be confirmed canon or not (though I doubt that they will), I would like to know what happened to the ruby afterword. Maybe learn more about the ruby, and see more potential come out of it in a semi-successor to Forces or what not.

That's what I kept saying too. Adventures and Plus are two separate timelines.

So Infinite's ruby is caught in a infinite loop? Huh... o_o

Sonic Mania Adventures can still fit into the canon. See, Sonic Mania +'s Encore Mode's beginning was deliberately designed to be ambiguous as to whether Sonic Forces had actually happened or not. Meaning, that it was deliberately made as a possibility for Sonic Mania's Mania Mode to immediately lead to the game's Encore Mode. Then, the Phantom Ruby disappearing at the end of Encore Mode can lead it to the comic prologue of Sonic Forces, where that saga's events take place, before C. Sonic goes back home and the events of Sonic Mania Adventures take place. In other words, Sonic Mania > Sonic Mania + > Sonic Forces (+ associated comics) > Sonic Mania Adventures

A very intriguing theory on the Phantom Ruby. I've studied the theories of time travel, but I'm surprised that I never knew that the "Bootstrap Paradox", "Temporal Paradox" and "Predestination Paradox" (which explains Silver's current predicament in the IDW comics, if I'm not mistaken) existed. Huh . ..the more you know, am I'm right? I honestly wouldn't mind them bringing back these concepts (the Phantom Ruby, Infinite, and whatnot) again in a semi-successor of sorts to Mania and Forces, same can be said to concepts introduced in previous games. A semi-successor of sorts to Forces that brings back most of those concepts from that game and expanding it into something bigger, better and more grandiose is something I wouldn't mind at all; and this theory make me want something like that to happen more and more. There are things I would like to address: 3:10 This was something I was trying to explain to people when they question this, and I'm so glad you brought it up. You honestly explained this way better than I did. 3:48 *FUN TRIVIA TIME:* according to the music track of the final boss of Forces, the mech is called the "Mega Death Egg Robot". Though I'll admit, the name "Egg Phantom" sounds better. 4:50 I wouldn't say that's true, because. . .there's no official confirmation of Mania Adventures being non-canon; same applies to Mania Plus (Encore Mode). . .at least not yet. . .but I highly doubt it. The only confirmation on this subject is Webber's suggestion of having the fans pick which one out of two they like more. So really, both Mania Adventures and Encore Mode are kinda like two possible what-if scenarios after Classic Sonic's return from the events of Forces. There's no right or wrong answer. It's actually a really cool idea if you think about it; it can go either way and won't really debunk this theory whatsoever.

This is a good theory, but what happened to Eggman and the Titanic Monarch? as the ruby sucked both the Doctor and his machine into the vortex along with it.

There’s only one logical explanation. Eggman and the Titanic Monarch had been affected by the Phantom Ruby in such a way that they became an amorphous blob as they drifted through space... which eventually becomes the Time Eater from Sonic Generations. Think about it: Between Colours and Generations, Eggman just happens to discover a creature that is: 1) Around the neighborhood of space he was in 2) Can manipulate time, a hallmark of the Ruby 3) Is conveniently compatible with his technology. I mean, it’s kinda obvious. (JK.)

You should've brought in Clement's Eggman doll to say "The Egg Phantom!" Also, I think they're letting the fans decide if they want to consider Sonic Mania Adventures to be canon or if they want to consider Encore Mode to be canon. I'm currently writing a story pitch that is connecting all the dots together and I added in this one small part that let's the fans decide if they want to either consider Encore Mode from Sonic Mania Plus to be canon or if they want to consider Sonic Mania Adventures to be canon, but no matter what they choose, the Phantom Ruby still returns to their orignal owners. I do have a theory about who are the orignal creators of the Phantom Ruby and how it ended up on Angel Island in the first place, but I don't want to say it just yet.

But I thought classic Sonic was just Sonic when he was younger? I thought that was explained in Generations?

4:00 It's the "Mega Death Egg Robot", as seen in ingame files, I believe. That's why I call the inner part the "Nega Death Egg Robot", since it's part of the Mega Death Egg Robot and based on the Nega Wisp Armor.
