Oh my, I have stove envy!

I thought I had the wrong channel for a minute, the rustic background took me by surprise. Thanks for telling us about this one, I'm embarrassed to say I didn't realize this was a book and always thought it was a musical.

One of the best books for 2020 ! High praise indeed.

I love Lon Chaney’s depiction, especially the way he pretends to throw something at the angry mob just to laugh at them flinching before they rush in to tear him apart.

I really enjoyed the movie and even seen the theatre play a couple of times. I have this on kindle and I can't wait to read it.

Gaston Leroux lock room mystery Mystery of the Yellow Room is available in English. As it's sequel. Yellow Room isn't quite as thrilling as Phantom but if you like classic detection it is worth a read. I know this is an old video but I'd thought you'd like to know.

Look for HarperCollins Detective Club series reprints. I’m sure they are available in the US. One of the titles is Gaston Leroux’s The Mystery Of The Yellow Room.

I did read The Phantom of The Opera and gave it a 4 star rating on Good Reads. More so because of it's place in the canon as a classic and not so much because it swept me along.

Frankenstein and Erik are two tragic anti-heroes looking for love forced to hide away from "normal people".😱

KZread notifications failed on this one today! This sounds great as well, but it’s going to the back of a long line that is already heavily influenced by your channel. Also, the Rustic Vaughan Lodge looks like a werewolf magnet... hopefully those creatures will keep you protected.

Black and white phantom on your right and black and white alien on your left. So cute when the alien looks up when you get animated about the book! I need to get this translation because I read it years ago and found it weak. Maybe they cut out the good parts. Deb

Yes, I have read really bad things about other translations. This one was a lot of fun.

I cannot use e-readers so I have to track down all the limited print books 🙈

Love your series but please stop calling that rock musical by Weber an "Opera."
