@@slamrahovart9024 I'm swapping a 5.3 only because parts are so available and I want it to be a simple reliable and easy to source parts for drivetrain you would think 1uz parts would be more commonplace but they are getting to be older platforms and a lot have been crushed and ruined from lack of maintenance after 400,000 MI

The 1UZ-FE is an amazing engine. Seeing one inside of this small chassis puts a smile on my face. I would love to drive that car around the track. Heck I’d even enjoy siting in it while the owner drives around the track. (:

im building my show car for me to drift. the beercan is being built for the community drift slut lol. 1uz, w58, ford 8.8 with 4.88s. the show car is T3 old 16v with built t50, and ford 8.8 with 5.13s

This guys view on cars is ideal. Something I try and follow all the time. Just be positive about ANYTHING car related. Doesn't matter what it is, as long as someone has but time and love into it, I will respect that.

He built 2! A coupe and a hatch, the coupe has an s2k engine. The iterations of both have all been sick! The coupe used to have a Ford 4cyl turbo back in the day.

@@VictorMPR though long and heavy, they yield potential in the right hands and setup. I road race my 98 sc400 and can give other lighter weight vehicles a run for their weight. It's up to the owners to go that route or not but i also agree they are overweight. Check out some of my hot laps at thunderhill raceway on my page if you get the time. Cheers

The 1UZ would've been benefit the Mk3 Supra and the Mk4 Supra especially in North American market because most people there would prefer V8s than inline engines.

First time I've seen this episode, and I love the fact that his answer is probably the best one I've ever heard repeated: "It works." That's how you know that this guy is a true car guy at heart -- and one of the nicest guys I've ever seen interviewed. Awesome job on the interview!

Josh has always been so humble and such a good dude. He’s also had badass rides for as long as I can remember.

Josh is a mastermind and one hell of an all around great guy. He has 2 beautiful builds. I can't wait to get out there and mix it up with him on the track.

this channel is on track to 1 million subscribers. great work Hoon. what makes me say this is you touch on the humanity aspect of the motorsports. motorsports is mankinds way to test its self against the elements of nature and society. the essence of car culture is a celebration of mankinds ability to use technology and science through the art of competition and style through communities of many different communities.

Some of the cars I've owned in my youth I can relate to the guys that had 60s era Cudas and Chargers. Had I known they'd explode in value... On the other hand, I'm happy I had my time with them. My '86 was my drift/rally car for years and years, I beat the snot out of it and it had over 300k when we parted ways, mostly because my knees were up against the dash and shifting was getting, err, complicated. Even with all that, it was stupid reliable with all 80-odd horsepower. If I still had it, I'd shoehorn a 3UR in a heartbeat.

Oof moment #1, only beaten by a tragic story about my S13 I had for 12 years before it was stolen while I was moving in with my future wife and involved in a hit and run with a Lexus. I found out when the police sent me a summons...

I have a turbo 1uz Celica running the factory ecu. There's 2 distributors. So 2 rpm signals. So out operates on the same signal as a 4cyl.
