I find that a "cuddle/snuggle" cushion serves 3 purposes: 1. You can hug it at while the arms are at the correct level 2. It fits snugly between the knees 3. For back sleepers, just turn it horizontal and it fits perfectly underneath your knees 👌

I'm not a doctor, but what works for me is sleeping on my side on the floor. I no longer snore. It's uncomfortable at first but it has saved my sanity from tossing and turning. I feel it keeps your muscles in check too. Wish I would've done it years ago.

Listening to a podcast, the human voice, has worked wonders for me. I pick carefullly, nothing too stimulating. Or I listen to a book I know really well. I use earbuds so that I don’t disturb my husband. I also use a pillow spray called “This Works” and it really does. Last night I slept for 8 hours.

When I hear about sleep depravity, I remember my time in the Republic of Vietnam '68. I got home and slept for 2 straight days. I had exaggerated startle response too. The Veterans Affairs could care less about veterans' health conditions. I faced being overweight, sleep depravity, high blood pressure, and sugar diabetes among many other health conditions. According to many, it was all my fault. Eaglegards...

As an Afganistan vet that served as a convoy gunner, seems you're describing PTSD - or bad choices you've made. I'm willing to bet that you have a VA rating - I have 0% after 10 years of service. I just assume that most veterans are rated because they're willing to lie...

  • @fastsetinthewest

@@RetroMMA Bad choices is a great descriptive term. Nobody really knows anyone's experiences. I never did dope or alcohol. I was a drafted OH 6 crew chief that listened to government lies. I spent a fortnight in Vietnam field hospital with inadequate health care workers. We were fed liquid slop in styrofoam cups. I'm only rated at 100%. After over 50 years of VA care, I wouldn't send my dog to a vet doctor. All the best to you.

@@fastsetinthewest "Only %100" disability? Is there a higher rating? As I see it, you've been milking the tax payers around $3,000 per month + ancillary benefits (px access, education, VA services, state entitlements, veteran discounts, loans etc) for perhaps 52 years. You complain about substandard food in a war zone when >58,000 lost their lives. And you have the utter exta entitlement to act as if you got a raw deal...

  • @fastsetinthewest

@@RetroMMA For somebody to set in judgement, you certainly have a right to your opinion. I'm over 100%. I get an extra 100 bucks for my right nut. Working for the V.A. like you do has fringe benefits. Matter of fact, my next door neighbor was killed in Vietnam in June of 1967. Take all you said and tell that family. Oh, you can't because the family is now dead. Look up Alex Zsigo. I could give you many of my buddies names that are dead, but I survived so I'm an aristocrat! The great thing was you volunteered on a Afghanistan hoax. You're a credit to the veteran community. A true Afghan patriot. I hope you don't allow your family to accept the free burial or paid funeral expenses from the V.A. Eaglegards...

Magnesium definitely helped me. I get restless leg syndrome sometimes and I have a powdered magnesium I mix in water and that helps me to get to sleep. That along with a couple of minutes of relaxed breathing and yoga stretches helps me relax and sleep better through the night. Seriously like only 3 minutes helps tremendously.

This is outstanding!!! Vielen Dank!!! The circadian rhythm is way more important than healthy food, supplement etc. in my view all companies should have by law been allowing their employees to take a nap, in addition, every day. My tips for good sleep: 1. No heavy food after 6pm, no food after 8pm, turmeric tea with pepper and honey and some oil, stretching exercise, and mentally juts looking forward to relaxing, repairing, and solving problems thru my subconscious brain. I sleep like a baby..

To sleep well I lower the our house temperature and make sure the room is dark, pray or listen to worship music. I also take Jigsaw Health Magnesium with time release. Sometimes rebound, just a health bounce a couple hours before sleep.
