Woooo!! Very excited! I’m halfway through and came up to you asking about mining machines, but personally I think that as long as it’s in the game, it’s game to use. You’re using it to make cool things and if it helps you get to the same result that you were going to get but saves you multitudes of hours, then why would it be a problem? It’s still the same result

@@itsmemikeyt if you want to go for authentic lotr dwarwen style, heres a suggestion. Dwarves didn’t grow their own food all that much. They usually traded their surplus of precious metals and craftsman services with neighboring kingdoms. in morias case, that would have been Eregion, an elven settlement of skilled craftsmen, where interestingly enough, the rings of power where made. Might inspire some build of yours😊

@@mattiasandersson8693 you’re going to hate me for this bud 👉👈🤭 but if you watch Rings Of Power (I know don’t scold me too much I kinda liked it aha) - when Elrond enters Moria you can see some dwarves working away on what looks like growing food I totally agree with you and that’s what we will build up to but for now I really wanted to build a farm aha so I’m using a little artistic license and adapting it a little hehe 😜 But yeah totally agree I’m just bending rules ever so slightly appreciate your input buddy! OH YES !!! Do whatever you want, im just glad u have a new series, you could use slabs in same stone as the ones that are already there on the ground to make it look natural at some spots around the cave to make the rooms more deep, im a big dwarf fan myself, i love LOR , The hobbit. i did that way back on a realm, ofc you need light aereas too, you can also put lights under slabs so that you dont need to have ugly torches everywhere ^^)

I think mining machines would probably be a very dwarven thing to do. They are tinkerers in most stories I've seen!

@itsmemikeyt Indeed, although the setting is strictly medieval, the dwarves there still were famous as blacksmiths and crafters, and I guess even technologically advanced for the time, considering they had the access to the ores from the source. I'd also like to think they are good engineers, as they made structures that outlasted the destroyed civilizations, too.

Just started my own survival world building a Dwarven city. Though I’m not doing Hardcore, I am on hard. I forgot the absolute grind it takes to get started. I even gave myself one diamond pick at the start and it was gone before I even finished the entrance planning. Luckily, my strip mine is absolutely slam packed with diamond ore so progress is going well.

I must say it’s refreshing to see someone die in their hardcore world- I know that you are truly playing and being totally honest with us. To answer your question, I wouldn’t count mining machines as cheating. TNT duping has been in the game for so long and Mojang hasn’t fixed it, so I would say use it.

I feel like you dont need to build Khazad Dum exactly as it is depicted in the movies. I'd prefer a Dwarf City that is a mix of Moria and Erebor that kind of grows organically depending on the terrain you have. But it seems like you are already doing that.

Sorry you had to find out this way 😭🥹 yeah I made a daft mistake - but I’ve decided this Hardcore world will be my last and if I die I’ll turn this world into a normal world - but unless I make a careless mistake we should be ok 👌 thanks for your support

love the video! idk if any one else said any of these but here are some random strange ideas... 1) use only "dwarven" weapons maybe try to use axe/crossbow for main combat except alto farms that use sweeping eage 2) make some steam punk dwarven stuff as well like copper pipes big dwarven drills and a big ol' industrial steam furnace 3) make constant Deep Rock Galactic references shouting "we're rich!" or "rock and stone"

I really like Season 1. Shame you lost it but I am looking forward to Season 2. The new design is very promising. But why not build Erebor instead of Moria? Because you did Moria last season so you can do Erebor this season? Or maybe you can make Erebor as your main base and then Moria can be on the other side of the mountain as an actual mine entrance? That would be cool. But either way. It looks very Tolkien esque and I am loving the vibes. Glad you are back and happy new years.

Happy new yeat Doom! - The reason for Moria is because of just how epic and important it was as a kingdom early in the 1st age! it was a mighty rich kingdom so it gives me the best option to build more! :D There was a Elven settlement/group that resided near Moria early on which I plan to build ;) it's going to be amazingly grand my overall world plan :D but don't worry we're not building Moria as a replica - just the key areas that personally mean a lot to me! we're certainly going to be expressing a little artistic license this series Have a fab week bud!

The entrance is super cool! Though I gotta ask why you built on that mountain face rather than in the valley on the right. It would’ve made the mountain feel more imposing, and entrance better integrated to its surroundings

If you kept it as lore, dwarves used what ever tool they had to help them with their task at hand. A machine would be on that list. There are tinker dwarves in some stories, although I know not in the Lord of the rings but it does make since. And would be a great addition to the story of your world. You could even have some prototype ones where they were profecting the craft

You could always pretend they took a tour into Mordor or Isengard after Sauron fell, and got the idea for mining machines there, refined them and put their own twist on it. I can definitely see them using it for the big work and use their skills to get details in or handle sensitive areas (like the Glittering caves)

The dwarven building in Eragorn is top notch to just like lotr

I would say if you have the resources to build whatever machines you want, I don't see a problem with them. This applies to the mining machine you mentioned, but also to all forms of auto farms and anything else. So, if people are going to complain about one device, they need to do so with all of them. Otherwise, can we say "hypocrite"? I knew that you could.

@@itsmemikeyt I am also that friend that goes and finds the resources, I'm a lot more flexible underground than above, I also play with a lot of mods, it's been forever since Ive done vanilla Minecraft, even still, my longest hardcore survival has been like 67 days and I had tried to fight the wither for the first time (KZreadrs make it look easy 🙄🙄) and I stood too close to it while it was powering up and the explosion killed me 😂 750+ days is insane, I could only imagine the heartbreak of all that hard work (fixing to start watching your first series) Long live the great Dwarven Empire! May the stone bring forth riches untold!

I’m personally not a big fan of mining machines, but I am in favor of people playing Minecraft the way they want to so you do you man.

Hey junior I appreciate the comment bud of course I don’t mind! It’s epidemicsounds it’s a bit pricey for the license but universal have a cheaper option I might switch to otherwise if you need a no cost option I used to use streambeats by Harris heller or incompetech are royalty free ☺️

Funnily enough I do like some of ironforge but this base is more based off Moria in the 1st age of Middle Earth 😃 - shaders are the ComplimentaryShaders Unbound

Brother, nice work, and very creative builds. But i think you're limited in vanila minecraft. Why not try your hands at All the Mods 9. I think both you and us are gonna enjoy it, especially with your builds. P.S.: there's a Hephistius forge in there~

Did the dwarves have/ use mining machines? I would assume no, so it’s a no from me (unless they did, then if so, go for it).

To my knowledge they didn’t - that’s why I’m conflicted - I’d never normally consider duping machines to mine but they would speed up mining areas in the long term…. Mmmmmm definitely given me a bit to think about Redrose thank you

With all the farms you can make in Minecraft I don’t see a purpose for a mining machine unless you wanted to clear out a large area for a mega project

It's been years since I've seen anyone do a good series for the lotr mod, unfortunately 1.16.5 version is far from being a complete as the 1.7.10 version, and we don't know what happened to the mod maker Meavan's unfortunately, but I played on a survival server for 7 years and controlled most of the world map, those memories are the experience I've been chasing for years since, but the Intel graphics driver in my computer needed to be downgraded, and it took me forever to understand how to do that right, so now it runs without texture and model glitches. Now its just my computer is as slow as a cold slime, its not the beafy laptop is used to have, so I will enthusiastically watch anything with the 1.7.10 lotr mod used in it, I also run Pam's Harvestcraft for the crops and foods ability to influence the culture(s) that i use as inspiration for various groups of Dwarves, I ruled that survival server as a Merchant Emporer, I bought armies so large and diverse, and armed so greatly that none declared war on me, I bought whole nations, colonized distant and harsh regions unwanted by all others say for orcs, all started from me a Dwarf with no clan or home, settling in Emyn Winion, and becoming the first Chalkfoot Dwarf, in was made a lord under the king of Dorwinion at the time, and together we built the three great cities of Dorwinion, but he Vanished and after two weeks Rhudels Golden Hoard Warlords, there where four at the time, declared war, so I was made king by a moot of my allies, and we won the defensive war against Rhudel, we elected to make them a vassal of Dorwinion, and after a month the four warlords abandoned Rhudel, so I Annexed it into Dorwinion, and along side my trade of alcohol across the world, I grow absurdly wealthy and had nothing to spend anything on, so I made allies, funded their wars, made deals that gave me control over more land, aided the Sauron of the server and then when he failed i kinda just, took over mordor, I owned the eastern and southern parts before then and took the rest after his fall, I colonized all of the south and east, and had many smaller colonies across the west, and it the end I was more powerful than the server owner himself, who loved me, all that from a lonely dwarf who loved to make and sell alcohol.

Hi Jerre Thanks for commenting 😊 this series is about imagination and improving building skills for me. I don’t want to use any mods beyond performance mods to help develop my own skills and become a ‘pro’ fantasy based builder I’m inspired by the likes of Fwhip if you’re familiar with his content 😁 Obviously using minecolonies the builds are preset and the ideas aren’t original. I have a small community of folks who watch these for ideas and inspiration so having the freedom to experiment and try things is a big part of the series 😇 I appreciate your support and I hope that helps give some context as to why I’m doing things this way Happy weekend

I…Uhm….. i accidentally jumped on an end crystal when fighting the dragon for a daft reason and instantly blew up 😭

watching your last series now. you need to learn to use the natural environment instead of always taking out all the blocks. when you built the stairway to the farms, you could have made a tunnel entrance to that level which would have looked a lot better than what you had. then on the farms you said it didnt need to be huge for now,but then you made that huge staircase down that you didnt need. if you would have put down some running water you would have saved on time instead of placing it individually. also, dwarves dont half-ass things. so putting in bricks, which is worked stone, in the bridge isn't realistic. use bricks for the base, or the outer blocks of the walkway part of the bridge. use cobble as well as all the other stones for the rest. i'd also put some rooms along the stairway at the entrance. no one wants to walk all that way without seeing anything. plus, where are the guards going to be to stop intruders? since the stairs are already done, dont put the entrances to the rooms there, place them in the back of the rooms and the hallways going to the bottom of the stairs- that way guards can shoot at intruders without getting attacked back

My build is based off of Moria from LOTR although I’m not doing a replica there are some aspects of the area I’ve copied because they are important to me - Although I’m trying to be realistic I am also stretching it to my own artistic interpretation so allow for me to just create things in unique ways 😊 I’m working on a project which will now span (hopefully) a few years so I’m always going to be improving and tweaking and coming back to old builds because as I mentioned before my time right now is limited so I need to make sure I’m not only progressing and building new things but also getting them done as best as I can 🙂

I’d probably refer to my latest community tab post for a more in depth discussion To summarise- I don’t feel a need to do it for any other reason than a personal enjoyment This world won’t be deleted upon death but I’ll turn it into a survival world - but I can start again knowing I’m competing against myself to try beat my own record It seems daft to start it as hardcore given my above point 🤣 but it just gives me more excitement to challenge myself to not die I really hope you understand bud and again I appreciate your time

How someone would think building a mining machine is cheating is beyond me. If you have the knowledge and skill to build one, not to mention collecting all the resources to build one, I say let if run. Also tho, diamonds because pretty useless once you get mending netherite tools and armor so, I've never seen a need to get more then a few stacks for the entirety of my world. I find myself only using silk touch for diamonds and I use the Ore as decoration or making custom caves/ mines

Yeah I agree diamonds for me will be more for decoration eventually! I’m just curious if people have any issue with me using them as they could speed up building open areas for the dwarf city 🧐 Thank you so much for your support and your comment I appreciate it truly
