It's hard to move on with your life when your husband is gullible and is still friends with those toxic people. Gullible people like her husband need proof that they're gullible. The dirt she found is proof enough for her husband to distance himself from them. If she hadn't found the proof, he'd still be trashing their relationship because he wasn't smart enough to see past that image. Her story about this couple is a very long lesson about not believing everything someone says about themselves.
