I lived in Belize from 1995 to 2000. Belize is safe depending on where you go. Some areas in downtown Belize City could be unsafe but it depends on your crowd. Most of the killings and shootings are gang or drug related. In most cases, they know their target. Visitors are hardly attacked. Yes, stealing takes place in some areas but it is generally a good country to live.

I was in Belize about 10 years ago and I have always wanted to go back and see more of the country there's was something about the country that has me wanting to visit again

I love the raw content!! To be amongst the people and to see what’s really going on compared to what is being told in the world’s narrative. I love the honesty of the people saying that there is some corruption going on, but explaining that the people are worth coming to see and the beautiful culture.🌎👣🙏

Ace...I have gone Belize City many times over the last 20 years to teach art and bless the St. Martin de Porres school there...go visit them, great people with a great heart. Glad u went there because when it comes to Belize City, most people skip going there because it's rep. Belize City is still coming up, but it has come A LONG WAY from what it was in the 90s

I went to Belize in March spending a few days in Belize City. I can't give a accurate judgement on Belize City but the Cayes are completely safe. Safety was the last thing on my mind.

Jose Espat what we needed to do solve our problem here in Belize, I would say that we need to become more productive, especially in the area of agriculture since Belize still has an abundance of fertile soil. So, we need for the corruption to stop so that the black people can be given the fair chance they deserve to prosper in this country as we were once found doing plenty agriculture.

I know Belize is tourist place for scuba diving people. But have met a woman and a guy years apart, and the woman told me that there was corruption due the cops becoming corrupt due the drugs coming in from Mexico. The guy told me that there is some crime but depends on where you go. Both spoke perfect English. She told me that Belize was a British territory, yet they speak Spanish and English. She said it was a wierd mash up.
