i am Bono and Anyi by blood which i am very proud of the same time i like to express how the Samwi(Sefwi)kingdom is also Anyi kingdom because we all left Asante after one of our king i believe by the name of Morroh was defeated. The Sefwi in Ghana has Asante influence with more Twi words than Samwi kingdom in la Cote D'ivoire which has the original Kwa-Tano words. I recently discovered another family member living in North East Ghana in Chereponi called Anufo/Chokossi/chakossi that sound just like Anyi and Sefwi. With Nzema, Baoule, Aowin, Ahanta, Anyi-Brossa, Anyi Juablin(Cote d'ivoire) and maybe some other more out there i have to be proud. But sadly some of the people who stayed with the Asantes have lost the language great example is Asante Juaben, Anyinam(Anyi-man) in Asante Akyem all belong with us today.

What is the different between Aowin, Anyi-brosa and Anyi-juablin?

They are all Anyins and they speak Anyin. But people thought they were speaking different languages which created the confusion that's why I'm trying to correct all those miscommunications and misconceptions creating disunity among Anyins

Aowin is the capital of the Brosa people who speak Anyin. Juablin is also one of the Anyin3 communities just as Elubo, Dadieso etc

My understanding is that, the Nzema derived from the Anyin language, so how has the Nzema language become dominant language among them in Ghana?

  • @Huniah_Guan

Well, from what I can say, Nzema is at the coast. And the whites traded more with the coastal people and documented those Languages and made the others learn them. Nzema for western region, Ga for greater Accra even though Ga was derived from Dangme etc

it's because the Nzemas do not live in areas where majority of inhabitants are highly Akan or Twi spoken people unlike the Anyis in the Bono region.

If the Anyis, Nzemas, Sefwis, Ahanta, Anufo/Tchokossi/Tchakossi, Aowin, everybody was living in the same same area, this could be so great.
