She hates that sound. It is a great place to eat prime rib and chicken. But if that noise gets you like it does her, just be careful with the fork.

Y'all are as persistent as we are in calling. The last time we called an hour ahead it was worse than it used to be getting concert tickets on the day they went on sale. Beautiful view from the window seat. The salad bar is full and so fresh looking. I know y'all enjoyed that. David is salivating over the Prime Rib as we watch this video. The Kristi's cake looked amazing! Glad y'all had such a nice date night. Love the hat Shawnasi! Great review!

Thank you so much! And yes, I thought she looked pretty sharp in that hat. So, ya'll had the same issue trying to get call ahead seating there? I think their system is the worst for that. The food was good, but I wish they would come up with something better for seating. I actually decided to just get in the car and drive over there, to just walk in and put our names in that way, and then we would go back at 6. Shawnasi stayed at the room, and I told her just to keep dialing, and whoever got our names in first, we would just let the other one know. I was almost there when she let me know she had finally gotten through. That was like 45 minutes after we started trying.

Like the hat I could make a meal off the salad bar alone

You can reserve a table on their Webb 21 days advance on the day an time you will be there.

Yes, you can now. That wasn't the case when we went. In fact, I'm the one who let them know they needed to go to a reservation system. They did shortly thereafter, whether that had anything to do with it or not.

Shawnesi (im sorry I can never remember the spelling), your wife looks beautiful! Love the hat! She is always beautiful. Inside and out- hard to find. I strive to find that balance this day and age… she’s got it! Y’all have been together a long time and still like you just met. So nice.

LOL, Derrick you look like you are about to bust. I have never eaten at the Peddler but if I ever get the chance I know I would just get the salad bar, it looked amazing. I hope that your stomach settled pretty quickly , I hate to be that full, it is so uncomfortable. Shawnasi is sporting that hat well.

I Would have appreciated had you told us where you would have a good steak in town so that any of us traveling there would know where you thought was a good steak since you read this place and I would’ve gotten a ribeye there but when I heard you say it was inconsistent i would have liked to know where Is a good place in Gatlinburg to get a steak.

In my honest opinion, the best steak in Gatlinburg is at Cherokee Grill. I have not had a steak at every place, but I've been to at least 5 of them. I would also highly recommend The Alamo. And it wasn't me that said The Peddler was inconsistent. I've only gotten a steak there once, and was not impressed. I've talked to other KZreadrs who have reviewed the place, and that's what they have told me. That some days it's good, and some days it's not as good. You can actually see our separate review of the Cherokee Grill, which was done a little over a year ago. If I want a good ribeye steak, that's where I usually go to get it.

To be fair, there are also lots of people who think The Peddler has the best steaks. I'm just not one of them. I think they are a little on the expensive side, for what you get. My steak was not bad as far as flavor, but it was tough.

Thank you for letting me know. You are right we each have a different opinion on things sometimes. I like a good ribeye and it sounds like you do to sell I might take your recommendation on the other places. The hotel also suggested the Alamo.

This is why we don't go there. I really don't care about salad bar and sides at a place where steak is the star. What is your top steak in Gatlinburg/PF?

I would have to say that the ribeye at Cherokee Grill is my top steak, followed by the Alamo. I've heard the Greenbrier has a really good steak, but man, they are expensive. I have not personally gotten the steak there.

@robertg8875 You have a very good memory, to remember that far back what you ate. Yes, I remember the World's Fair being in Knoxville that year. I couldn't tell you what I ate that day, though.
