I am switching to momentum play, I do have some value stocks which are in momentum but anything beside that I am cutting. Watched so many past videos of you this weekend, will stop selling my winners

Sir I understood that PE ratio is relative to earning growth and also relative to the time frame in which we are investing - it keeps on changing its base range but keeping that in mind should it not be wise to track the PEG ratio ? As we here track the growth as well

Very nice such a discussion really those who believe in fundamental investing of that earlier era should also learn that the era is changing a lot and the most correct investment strategy for this era is momentum. But sir, I wanted to know one thing that the support of momentum investing is what you said that where value is created, the stock price will increase and where value is destroyed, the stock price will slowly decrease. Has it ever happened that, which may be in upward trending momentum, but suddenly it is known that there is a mess in the company and its value is destroyed within a few days, If there are such examples, name a few pls??Or it never happened, the stocks that rose in price were known to have a gradual value and the ones that slowly fell in price were later considered to be messed up companiesIf there are such examples, name a few

Index PE is not of much significance, because weightage of different companies is different and over the years, stocks and their weightage kerps changing. Individual stocks, PE and PEG are important, when we compare them to their sales growth. But, from pure momentum investing point of view, in nifty 750 stocks, if volumes are high and there is no resistance on left, then fundamentals are not important. Should hold till the trend bends. Easy to say, difficult to implement.

Though i am fully invested and portfolio is over 100% now but i feel that our mkts are damn expensive and it's just due to local investments i.e. liquidity is driving rally Enjoy the ride till it lasts because the fall will be really terrible

Earlier most of the nifty 50 companies were used to trade at lower PE due to their cash heavy businesses. Now we see more and more companies with relatively good business that generates good amount of cash and with low debt. So this must be PE re-rating. And lastly of course easy money.

I am 27 currently my capital is not large . So can’t afford weekend investment portfolios but I come here to gain data based analysis. Hopefully some day my portfolio is large enough to afford weekend investing .

you dont have to put large capital in it.. subscription cost around 10k to 15k .. even you start with 80 90k..with continuous SIP of 5k 10k .. it will be great investment in 3-5 years.. so don't wait and start today

Why are your all-time high strategies giving such low returns compared to the rest?Also those running in absolute momentum are not giving such performance compared to rotational, I mean rotational drawdown will be more and I understand that you can get out of laging quickly, but I think if you have to do momentum, rotational momental is best. Otherwise, if I do momentum based on any criteria, the return will be less, but if I want to do rotational type momentum, then the return will definitely be high, so?

CORRECT, In rotational - return will be high with higher drawdown but in absolute - retrun may be less but with lesser drawdown. now you may choose whatever may you want according to your feel and comfort.

absolute momentum strategies mkts to flush themselves every now and then for new picks to come in. Rotational has deeper drawdowns.. every strategy has its plusses and minusses.

Virtually no growth US market compared to India ? On what basis do you compare growth companies of USA to companies of India where most of business is stereo type ? Who are leaders of our nifty and account for 30-40 % One is bank One is refinery One is tobacco company Now compare 4 top USA company. Apple ( mobile phone and pc) Microsoft ( almost everything related to software) Google (king of marketing) Nvidia ( GPU hardware) We should not try to compare our stereo type doing business top companies to tech leader companies of USA. They are driving world not just USA. Their PE should be high because they can deliver growth and our top companies can not because of type of business..

PE Story is absolutely overrated, fundamentalists were advising not to buy stocks like trent, rec, pfc etc even 5-6 months back and look at the rally they have covered!!
