This was a great interview. Dave is an expert on modern history youth culture and much more. His take on the Mondays was really balanced and objective, from a man who saw it all unfolding. He didn’t attribute the ‘Yes Please’ album to Factory’s demise, he acknowledged that the whole Factory thing was imploding with the costs of the Hacienda, Dry Bar and New Orders reluctance to carry on throwing good money after bad. And it sort of paved the way for Nirvana’s grunge, the next big thing waited in the wings. I love this whole series, happy birthday Paul. Mark

LOVE Ian - he's one of my favorite people in the world. I asked him to come on the show but he doesn't do interviews any more. He did offer to write the forward for Paul's upcoming book - so that's really exciting.

We saw Ian in a Cheshire farm shop. It was a bit surreal for me ‘Mark’ because I just thought “there stands a legend” and he’s just visiting a farm shop! I’m not normally overwhelmed by celebrity but I wanted to say something to him ‘anything’ but thankfully I just let him go about his business. Made my day though.

I suppose you've tried to get Nathan involved?
