    this episode really hit me hard as a kid. i was struggling with my faith a lot at the time, just like Huey. and i just remember it being really emotional and it making me cry.

    the fact this joke of regan in heaven works off of the first episode where huey was said back at the party that regan was the devil, and even in ruckus's dream he's openly admitting to be evil

    The funniest part of this video was that Allona appeared more shocked that someone didn’t like Kobe Bryant than by Rukus’s message.

    i really relate to this episode now. back when i watched it i was still a pentecostal christian in the church, so i just laughed at how funny it was, but after leaving the church over a decade ago and losing my faith i watched this again and related to huey so much. i was upset about all the times i prayed and either nothing happened or the worst case scenario happened and i felt like i was praying for nothing, so i started to try and figure out solutions on my own like huey did with all of those plans. i still do that. people kept telling huey to pray and it was frustrating to hear because people either used to or still tell me do that, knowing that i lost my faith. it just feels like when somebody tells you to vote even though you know the system doesn't work and it doesn't change anything, because statistcally you've been let down by doing it so many times, but they swear that it does. but sometimes, even recently i felt like huey at the end of the episode. not having anymore options left and feeling desperate enough to pray or ask anybody for help, even knowing that 99% of the chance that either nobody's listening or nobody cares and i was doing it for nothing. i felt his pride hurt as he dropped to his knees knowing that praying was against everything he believed in because the way the world is now, in what reality that we live in would prayers and miracles be answered or even exist? but he was that desperate to do it. this episode really helped me feel less alone in how i was feeling. but i never knew huey's letter worked until you said it. i always thought that shabaz's case was a cover up and they knew that they were about to be exposed for framing him so they put the call in to stop it.

    This episode made me cry when I saw it. In my top 3 Boondocks episodes. I was very sheltered and young when I saw this and I think this was my first time realizing how unfair the world could be.

    This is why season 1 of boondocks is peak black excellence. It talked about a lot in a comedic way that most folks won’t get til they get older. They chose to go more and more comedic each season which still brought out classics but this was definitely peak substance boondocks.

    What is intriguing about a show like this is I'm seeing this is seeing a politically disengaged person kind of begin to grapple with actual issues while the story of the inmate isn't literally true it's based on an awful lot of Injustice that was directed towards groups like the Black Panthers considering the times that are coming I hope an interest in educating herself politically is actually sparked here gives me some hope for the country.

    Things like this episode make me think of Chris Rock's quote about Black people and god, "“If you're a Black christian, you have a real short memory.”" Just like mr Jeje forgot about black people throughout the course of history. Real convenient this thing only serves a certain color ain't it and the people who don't have power wotship it the most? Think that's by accident?

    The Bible decribes Jesus and hes not black is that what you’re saying? I think you may need to read the Bible. Are you talking about the verse in revelation where it says he has a White Face?

  • @AllonaShareeTV

    @AllonaShareeTV

    4 ай бұрын

    That is not what I am saying at all. The bible says that Jesus looks as such " His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. " IMO that description doesn't look like any of the pictures most ppl hang in their churches/homes. MOst of all I do not think he look like what Uncle Ruckus may think he does. lol

    @@AllonaShareeTV you dont know how he looked. That’s literally the verse I was talking about as that’s the one blk always use. That’s Jesus returning and one of his forms and says His Face Is White. If that doesn’t make Him White then not sure what other proof would please some people.

    Reagan was absolutely that bad. He fought against civil rights with everything he had as president. The harm he did to the black community was incalculable. He shutdown the USDA office that checks discrimination and that destroyed the black farming community, just that alone was immense and that was just one of his moves. Lookup what happened after he did that, it insane.
