The potency of the dancer is even stronger because she's wearing a mask. It's like watching her soul doing the work of enlivening the body through a sublime performance.

She recalls a noh player in Japan.
I'm practically illiterate when it comes to dance, but her precision and grace mesmerized me... the small detail that caught my attention is how gracefully she exits the stage, after bowing to the audience, completely in character. Thanks to this performance I'm in love with baroque dance.
She is like a doll. Music, dancing. costume all sublime!
Brava, Mrs. Caroline! Your point on historical dance movements has gotten me hooked! I was a former ballerina years ago until I ended up being bored to death.. Five years later, I stumbled upon this fine artistry of historical emphasis rather than conventional classical ballet, which can be acknowledged thoroughly as a performance method. 😊 Thanks, Mrs. Caroline Copeland, [rather than the other same named celebrity], for educating us all!!
Superb performance, its a joy to see dancers personal approach to this beautiful 17th century dance, this interpretation is so quickly elegant.
Superbe. La France que j’aime tant
How not to be moved by the sharpness of her feet and the delicacy of her interpretation ! Certainly one of the best baroque dancer in North America.
¡Aleluya!
Such an ethereal result, full of grace, poise and elegance. A true artist.
So elegantly done! The beginning of ballet we can see. Wonderfully well performed.
Merci! Sublime! So delicate! The beauty itself!
Excellent ensemble performance!
So graceful, and animated; like a danced poem - a masked woman gliding through the space. The hand gestures are especially expressive and nuanced. The intricate foot work accentuates dancer’s relationship to both the earth and the air. 👏🎭🎼💗
Muchas gracias.

Enchantment
Wow, My best friend, I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
At midnight when the clock chimes, the painted doll becomes animated and starts to dance. A mischief of mice usually scurrying to and fro looks on enchanted...

An important aspect is that she does not hide her mask - it is plain to see, above her hair,. This is a dancer under a mask that hides individualism, feelings, humanity. What emerges is a cold, perfect dance.

@@brobrosu1600 Correct. Also called "flûte d'Allemagne" (German flute); wooden with ivory joints which connect three pieces: head (with the mouthpiece), body (with most of the holes), and foot with one keyed hole. Jacques-Martin Hotteterre (1673 - 1763).
I think the tempo is realy fast for dancing
It’s a pity there are not two dances which this piece deserve

There are three original choreographies of the period! (1 french one from Pécour 1712 in the Gaudrau Collection and 2 of L‘Abbée from London - one version for solo and one for two women with nearly the same steps).
The mask should smile more💦
No me he gustado.
It would have been nice if the flautist could play in tune.
