Because of this scene I always think of the rain and this song together. For a Disney remake starring Lindsey Lohan as twins, it packs a punch.

Age means nothing. Heart means everything. :) I'm 39; I've seen this movie a million times and it still brings me the same 2 hours worth of lauging and crying non-stop even though I know it by heart. Very few movies (both past-and-present, alike) can do that. Just a small handful of them can, in my case.

@AND ANDREY ISN'T HERE "Oh, Nick, we were so young, and we had tempers, and we said stupid things, and so, I packed. I got on my very first 747,...and you never came after me." "I didn't know that you wanted me to." I get what you're saying though, that Elizabeth ought to have at some point realized that Nick wasn't coming, and then, at that point, it was HER decision whether to go back to HIM or not (which obviously, whether it was a conscious decision or not, she decided, you know, not).

This especially sad scene brings back memories to watching this in Year 9 whilst in secondary school back in 2005, yup, this was the scene which was playing when our maths teacher put his tie over his eyes to hide his crying! 😊

I just don't want my kids to be separate from their father if me and their father are separated it hurts a lot to see my kids separated from their father and from their mother I just want the best for them and he wanted the best for his kids so we should all sit down and let us fix our problem and see what workout

Did you see the original version with Hayley Mills? In BOTH versions, the parents acted stupid and immature to the point of NOT being able to share their own kids, so they compromised by each taking the twin that took after them - think Mommy's girl and Daddy's girl! What angered me MOST was that neither version said whether or not they would EVER tell the girls the truth - especially when they reached adulthood, like their 18th Birthday! It's the MEANEST thing parents can do to twins, and in BOTH versions, the parents were able to solve their problem, and get back together again!

Sad right before happy back together. They still love each other. But there stubborness or careers unwilling to work it out, now the twins have met how can they keep them apart again.

Elizabeth told Martin that if Nick didn't drive her nuts that she'd still be married to him, and they came up with the arrangement so they would NEVER have to see each other again! After the girls switched places, and their parents learned the truth, they experienced guilt and shame, and Nick got BOTH his and Hallie's passports 30 seconds after Elizabeth and Annie left, so they were eventually able to solve their problems!

I agree. I love his work in Father of the Bride and Fools Rush In as well. Although it is different in each movie, you can easily identify it as being his work.

Okay I after seeing this movie so many times i have questions about this scene first where's the butler Martin when they arrive homes, where the grand father and why do Annie and he's mother only have one small bag after traveling from America

You ask very good questions! WHY they had just 1 small bag is the biggest mystery, but I think Martin was with Chessy and the grandfather was home, but in another room! It's possible that he spoke to Hallie and Nick before Elizabeth and Annie returned!
