This helps everyone, new to the sport or a refresher to us old guys. I took away a few things to put into practice on my launch and landings. Thks..

Good tip on wearing gloves while kiting in windy conditions. That’s right up my alley at the moment. Great takeaways in every video! Thanks for providing some good footage Mark and Casey! 👍

I saw Casey's accident in person as I was coming in for a landing - he's a student pilot who was flying a Nirvana Rodeo Blue Line (which is a powerful engine with a fair amount of torque twist) and a training school wing (with regards to your comment about wear and porosity - I'm pretty sure it was a 28m Dudek Universal 1.1). I recall that the instructors noted that he was pretty deep in the brakes - that probably contributed to the stall, along with the roll in the wing reducing lift. Casey is a cool dude; he's been very generous with taking and sharing footage with the other students to help everybody learn. The weather hasn't been great around here the past couple of weeks, but I hope he's back out there flying soon! I had a similar incident in my training, and it took me a few weeks to get my head right and get back up into the air. I really appreciate your videos! They've been really helpful to me as a pilot fresh out of training and looking for an analytical perspective.

Thanks for the expanded context, Dean. Getting over these incidents can be the hardest thing we do in this sport (and also the most important). Sounds like he is surrounded by a good community of pilots to help that happen! Thanks for the support 🙂🤙🏻

Great lessons for new pilots! Also, give yourself enough runway for a successful launch + a reasonable margin for error.

Casey (bless him) basically experienced a lock-out (like under tow) at zero altitude. Thrust line got about 30 deg out of sync w. direction of flight.

Great stuff. As a complete noob just learning to ground handle, this is the sort of reviews I need. Tucker does a great job with advanced maneuver crash analysis but I need to know why the damn glider won’t stay up. Good job. Feel free to review my screwups at will!

In that first one from me (Mark) you can see in the shadow that I had a collapse on the right side, not sure if that is obvious or not. So I was extra careful to check that side after recovery but before taking off. I don't remember what the collapse was from, I think we were working in light & variable winds there, maybe a shift, or bad alignment? Or maybe a sloppy layout? Wish I could remember more about that one!

Can please explain why the propeller blade have differences in thrust if it’s going up or down on the right or left side on the paramotor. Newtons law I understand fully.

When the frame/motor is leaning back, the propellor ends up “grabbing” different amounts of air on either side since the air flow is horizontal. Tricky to explain without visuals, I’ll make a short about this soon!
