A very beautiful strong woman who went through hell and yet still has the courage to push on living life for her son ❤️

This story is beyond belief and I can sympathize with Martha on looking for love from a parent. My story WAS NOT as extreme as Martha's, but my father abandoned us and I found myself looking for love in wrong relationships and giving my "Dad" chance after chance to be a part of my life and after each time I was left more broken than before...I finally reached a point and realized it was him, not me with the problem. I stopped trying with him and removed him from my life, started to focus on me and my family and now my life is peaceful and I learned to love myself... I now understand that sometimes we ALLOW people to hurt us by giving them chance after chance to "get it right" while losing ourself. Also, I came to understand that sometimes the people who hurt us the most is our "blood", we need to understand that it is OKAY to remove parents, siblings, aunties, uncles and cousins from our life in order to get the peace we deserve...Peace, love and abundant blessings to Martha...

Yes that was my daughter too. She was little when I divorced her father so didn’t remember much about the abuse and affairs even though her older brother and I warned her- so she turned 19 and went to stay with him in Florida: she saw the truth for herself and after being stuck with it 3 years she finally called me and begged me to find a way “ back home”. She’s home safe now
