' There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.' - Carl Jung ;- )

“The ego - mind says, ‘I shouldn’t have to suffer,’ and that thought makes you suffer so much more. It is a distortion of the truth, which is always paradoxical. The truth is that you need to say yes to suffering before you can transcend it.” - Eckhart Tolle .. Thank - You Mother Ayahuasca !! Endless Infinite Gratitude !! Nature is my church, and Rock N' Roll and Heavy Metal music is my religion ! :- )

Hurt is the ego which loves the drama that follows from your suffering.... "turn the other cheek..." Hurt is also evidence of a past occurrence, the consequence of which was psin- hur = suffering, still years later while it keeps bring remembered by your mind. Accept that the hurt was generated by an unconscious individual... "they know not what they are doing..." Forgiveness comes easily when you realise this truth & the hurt can be dissolved. You are free of it & pain...

ivanwesteurope he’s saying that whenever your pain body arises and you believe what your pain body tells you (usually pain body comes with certain thought patterns, such as “my life sucks, he/she did this to me etc.) then you will never be free from it. But when you dis identify with it, meaning something like when the pain body arises, which it will numerous times (I experience it often) and you can sit there and be the awareness of it, noticing that it is there, but also knowing in your deeper essence that this isn’t you, then the pain body will start to dissolve. I hope that helps!

To 'disidentify' with the pain body is to dissociate, not healthy. He is advocating dissociating, because he has somehow been able to do that. It doesn't make him 'enlightened'. If you can't 'detach' from your pain, that's a good thing, but needing of a safe way to process through that pain load, stored in the body/emotional body because at one time there was a trauma overload. Stored pain needs to be compassionately processed, felt through, in a healthy, safe way, not 'witnessed' in a dissociated way.

Well Eckhart is correct as it is the first step, as one must first realize it. The next step is drink Ayahuasca to completely face all your darkness and go deep into it, as that is where all the spiritual teachings are. As it is the only way to the light, as you cannot ascend to the 5th and 7th and higher dimension heavenly realms unless you completely face your 4th dimension darkness (inner hells) that you created within. Truth is always paradoxical.

That is a very perceptive statement. I often struggle with this teaching by Eckhart. I think there is some useful points here to elaborate on, so I have listed the steps of transmuting pain body as I understand it below: 1st: need to become present to the pain, which means feeling it but not becoming overwhelmed by it, and therefore getting a witnessing distance from it, so that I can be grounded in my nervous system to take on a role separate to it. Can’t do anything if I’m overwhelmed by my pain or thoughts. Breathe into and through it, tapping, affirmations help. 2nd: when I am calm and grounded, compassionately tune in and resonate with the pain from my heart space as a loving parent presence, and listen and offer that hurt inner child in gut the soothing, love and reassurance it needs. 3. And when it has calmed down, invite that soul fragment back to rejoin the soul through the transmuting role of the heart centre. This is a form of soul retrieval, and it entails building enough witnessing skills as Eckhart mentions to be able to initially separate from the inner child pain to be able to ground myself and raise my consciousness awareness, but then once firmly grounded, to reunite with it from the place of a loving parent. Once resonating, the higher frequency of loving compassion , if more persistent, will transmute the lower frequency of the inner child’s pain in the gut. It seems E. Tolle focuses on witnessing consciousness which can be considered spiritual bypassing, as he is living from the space of spirit, being the light of awareness. His radical spiritual awakening was so profound that his lower ego consciousness was dissolved immediately through the transmuting role of his heart centre, including his subconscious inner child and shadow issues, and he is living from space of presence or as his higher self or superconscious, meaning he no longer needs to work through soul issues as manifested in his subconscious through his inner child and shadow. Eckhart is in this world but detached from it, as a witnessing observer. I see this in Zen Buddhism. And it is true, but misses the whole point of say Jesus’ teachings of bringing the light of awareness into this world through loving and compassionate actions from a heart on fire, the sacred heart. It depends on individual soul purpose but I would choose the latter. Otherwise, for almost everyone else, their spiritual awakening is only a glimpse of what can be, and it signals the start of this lifetime of purifying their soul through spiritual alchemy by the active, tough, hard conscious work of growing their conscious awareness (increasing in frequency in the long term by decreasing their vibration in the short term through doing this work, embodying their higher self, and growing closer to love) by becoming aware of their subconscious limiting beliefs, emotions and conditioned patterns of their lower consciousness via largely shadow and inner child work, and to transmute these lower emotions, beliefs and patterns of their subconscious into more higher frequency, higher order, more loving and higher ‘oneness’ consciousness. And this is process is achieved by bringing higher order awareness to the lower consciousness such as tuning into the pain body from a place of presence and witness consciousness (as Eckhart describes), AS WELL AS resonating with your hurt soul expressing its pain in your gut as a hurt inner child from a space of loving compassionate aware conscious presence. For what is wisdom without love? This is key for Spiritual alchemy. What’s your thoughts? I’m very interested as you’ve picked this up, and most people don’t. Also I’ve been working through this concept and would like to discuss more.
