Apart from showing the busy spells, drunk customers and the cleaning up, this was such an accurate representation of McDonalds after midnight until about 6am. Strange to see it's the same in the US as here in the UK.

I love that there is a sound track to this video, first of all. And second, I'd like thank all the fast food workers out there because yall really don't get enough love. You guys do more than a lot of people who sit at desks all day and take a lot of sh** from people who don't acknowledge how much work goes into food service. I don't care what anyone says in the comments- jobs don't define you and there's no reason to look down anyone for their job.

Cassandra Leal I’m an overnight manager too. Not at McDonalds but at a different fast food place. Let me explain something. A lot of times as I’m sure you know night shift has significantly less people. Sometimes only two. It’s really hard to clean and do everything 100% when there’s 20 cars and two people.

I worked at Mcdonalds for two years and the song "You'll be in my heart" by Phil collins just came out and they wouldn't stop playing it over the speakers drove me nuts....

At my MC I was the only one who kept the kitchen clean until they hired this new guy. Everyone else basically chatted the day away. I still tank on the majority of the cleaning tasks but thanks to the new guy showing up I am finally able to get to some of the other stuff. Like under the metal tables, cleaning the badly stained grease off the buttons, grates, and the old grease on the coolers. Before that trying to clean the kitchen up to my basic standards alone was hell. I'm not the quickest person really, plus I probably over killed it. I mean who cleans the walls everyday?

I honestly miss working at McDonald's, I did overnight and was the only one in the kitchen, as long as I was working I was able to listen to my phone and be on KZread or whatever, it was hella chill and not that hard, it was relaxing honestly, mines was not dirty like this one was

@dollarznc I have a list of tasks, the less cleaning the previous shift did, the less of my tasks I can complete, I can be fired for not completing my tasks, but not for general cleanliness if it's clear the mess wasn't one I made. It's not about complaining, it's about an accurate risk assessment.

The point of this short film is to show the mess left by the afternoon crew. It starts by showing the sink filling up at the start of the shift. Then the midnight crew working through the night to serve and clean. The clean sink at the end signifies that the whole store has been cleaned and the shift is over. The mess you saw is the mess that the overnight crew has the clean, while serving. Every store gets dirty throughout the day, especially if busy and understaffed. Even though this seems like it was filmed in a day, it was filmed over 3 months
