A little bit of overanalysis that I did for this song: When Dallas says, 'Little brother, it's time to stay' near the end of this song, it reminded me of a like in Little Brother: 'that's all i've ever done, but nows the time for me to stay' Also there are of course, his references to a train (iykyk) And when he says there ain't no going back, since he also says that again in Little Brother, just with a new meaning behind it then (I'm sure like nobody will find this as interesting as I did but oh well)

The outsiders was a fantastic movie. One of my favorites but to make remakes it should be a remake to everything. 1st thing it was all boys with no girls so to throw in a girl and 3 colored people is not doing the remake a real one. I believe it will be fantastic to see and given the chance will see it but seems like another woke moment…. I hope they win lots of awards

Yeah, I get that, ar first I was a little confused how it would go but I think this isn’t supposed to be an exact copy, I believe it’s a bit of a reimagining. Either way even with the changes it’s super good and I think everything fits! I was able to accept Ace/the girl greaser because in the book by S.E Hinton it mentions there being girl greasers too and during some of the scenes she looks like she’s one of their girlfriends as well. I was thinking maybe Two-Bit because the two characters seem pretty cozy with one another at times

I haven't come across any race discourse in the wild yet, but I just assumed it was probably going on based on the casting choices, which is fucking insane as usual. As someone who lived and breathed everything Outsiders in their teens, including reading and writing fanfction, the casting looks on point. Obviously I haven't seen the musical but one glance at the cast and I could tell who was who just based on how they carried themselves. And anyone crying about race and accuracy would know that the casting wasn't 100% accurate for the movie either.
