In the trench cycle, there were 6 music videos, and we have 4 so far in the scaled and icy cycle. Hopefully, we get more music videos and No Chances is one of them. No Chances is my favorites from this album.

I think this one is probably gonna be the last one from SAI, one that is a transition from SAI to the new album, sort of like Heavydirtysoul was from Blurryface to Trench

When Tyler first talked about Blurry, he said he gave him "a name, a face, and a seat at the table". I feel like the bishops are like sinister knights of the round table. I think the lights are symbolic of their seat at the table as well. I think the Ned represents Tyler's writing and the antlers give him a way to control his demons, and take away their seat at the table. "This ain't a noose, this is a leash and I have news for you. You must obey ME."

I think that the antlers represent fully fledged ideas. At the end of Chlorine Ned had grown antlers which represents Tyler completing his creative process.

That's a great catch. Maybe that 1 Ned after growing antlers (self-growth), leading Tyler back out to the shoreline (to face his problems) and giving the antlers to him before disappearing represents Tyler coming to a place of maturity in that area of his life, and being able to reintegrate that "Ned" into himself, as well as the "demon"/"bishop" reintegrating into himself as he was able to conquer it with maturity and regain control with that newfound wisdom (reintegration of that "Ned"). Maybe that Ned and that bishop were like two seemingly opposing parts of Tyler that he was having trouble reconciling with each other....like love/connection (Ned) vs. fear (Blurryface), innocence vs. rebellion, etc. The reconciliation of the 'opposing' sides and reintegration back into himself (instead of fighting them externally) resulted in a newfound strength inside him (eg. love vs. fear reconciled resulting in courage, and innocence vs rebellion reconciled resulting in wisdom, mercy and justice).

Yes! So if Blurry Face ~ Tyler’s Insecurities and NED ~ Creativity/Conscious. Then.. Are the other 9 Bishops for other people or all representing a specific antagonist to Tyler’s Truest Self? And same for Ned’s!?! “I’ve got 2 faces, Blurry’s the one I’m not.” “I want to be know by you.”

Also! "I begin to assemble what weapons I can find (ned's horns) 'Cause sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind (Tyler crushing the neon light in the video, the bishop dying, the fire in DEMA we can say that he is killing something in his mind!!) The Outside music video have SO MUCH links with Migraine lyrics!!!

Hear me out, the next video could be 'No Chances' as the bishops start chasing after them: "We come for you" but then this would be the final video of the album, concluding this arc of the story

@@nathans9861 love redecorate! That would work as the new banditos regroup with Tyler and Josh to plan the final attack.... thats where no chances comes in showing a battle between both sides. I'd like to see a video for Mulberry Street which is possibly my favourite song on the album but don't know how that would fit at this point in the visual story. That being said, The Outside video was so unexpected. Anything can happen. They're finally breaking "the cycle in half" and "leaving your skin on the floor" literally leaving/shedding their old selves behind as they become banditos

The moment when Tyler specifically points at Nico gives me chills

That was the first thing that caught my attention as Migraine is my fav song 😊

I think the bishop that was possessed was Keons. The poster on dmaorg said “Seize Keons” on it. I think Keons might’ve been a good guy. Maybe the Ned from Chlorine gave him his antlers. So I think Keons saved them (and I think that may be Clancy, not Tyler) and that’s why the others killed him.

The reason that had horns is probably related to the chlorine. Notice that when they all get into a circle around a fire they're passing a bowl around. I don't know could just be some nice tomato soup but I'm pretty sure that's a chlorine ritual around a fire. But on the other hand they are relatively cold so.. ...tomato soup? Or maybe chicken noodle?

Think about the title of vessel and how it literally has come up several times and now confirmed with the diagram of the... ...person? Yeah person we'll go with that. holding the antlers. I even do believe Justin Anderson has stated once or twice on his theories about how vessel connects. I suppose we know now. ||-//

i like this theory but the only problem is that chlorine is a gas. Unless they inhale chlorine or have some power or process to MAKE liquid chlorine then it would make sense. Im not hating on it just trying to make sense of it.

I interpreted the "I'm already bored, I'm pretty sure I've seen this one before" at the beginning of the song (around 1:30 in this video) as being a reference/callback to Tyler/Clancy waking up in the creek in Trench in the Jumpsuit music video. That experience was mentioned by Clancy in his new letter that was posted on dmaorg

Ned has those antlers in “Chlorine”, too. After he has jumped in the pool and has been swimming a bit, he surfaces and you can see the antlers there.

just pointing out, the theory about the light turning of when it’s bishop leaves dema doesn’t make sense because all 9 bishops are seen in the one spot. i imagine that dema is pretty huge so i don’t think they could’ve gotten out. great video tho!

Nico could have also left right after Tyler points at him bc he was clearly already mad at that point, which could have given him enough time to leave. But that's just a theory. I love seeing your guys theories too! |-/

that whole MV is a trip 😹 simultaneously the weirdest yet coolest thing they’ve done. I’ve read so many theories already, but I’m still kinda lost. I wonder if there’s gonna be another MV for this cycle or maybe the next album will wrap up everything.

Also, unless there was a long gap between scenes at the end, the other 8 bishops are in the same room as the one being controlled, so I don't know that the light being off means one has left. Maybe its a warning to who is the next target, or maybe even the one that went out was the bishop who dies and Tyler somehow managed to touch a different light and used it as a huge power play against the remaining bishops to show that their rules are no longer the law and can be broken. As more music and music videos have come out I've started to go back and really listen in depth to the lyrics and analyze videos and the more I listen to Scaled and Icy the more I think that maybe what we think was being said in previous songs was actually manipulated by what we have been given as "truth." I don't believe that the albums songs all take place during the same event/time frame. Tyler may have been under the control of Dema far longer/earlier than we knew. I also believe that during the Blurryface and Trench albums Tyler starts to understand that while wanting to get rid of Blurry and what he represents that he's needed, he's a part of him and that ultimately makes him stronger and by trying to get rid of him has ultimately made the situation worse. For him to overcome the bishops he has to accept Blurry as what it is, a part of him, and that not every part of a person is perfect or ideal, but these parts make us unique. Tyler both in the real world and in the story has created these problems for himself and now has to try and overcome his own problems he created by mismanaging his problems in the past. The bishops were once not the "target" but rather what they represented, but I believe now they are the target. The only way Tyler can reconnect to what he destroyed is by destroying what was created in the process. Blurry isn't inherently bad when paired with Tyler, they balance each other out. But by himself he has no balance, no control. And because they aren't working together they can manipulate each other. Tyler being more afraid of Blurry allows the bishops more control over him, but as Tyler loses his fear of what he lost and tries to reclaim it, he can push back, he can literally pull the steering wheel. However as Tyler moves forward I think another big hit is going to come. If Tyler and Blurry are one in the same and Blurry becomes the bishops without Tyler, Tyler is indirectly responsible for the bishops actions and I strongly believe regardless of the true story or who's theory or what parts of everyone's theories is correct, Tyler will at some point have to deal with that. SaI is still very fresh and what these songs truly mean is still to come, but I truly believe we've misunderstood some of the story being told, and I think it was intentionally done this way. Just as SaI was used as Dema's propaganda to mislead people, we were also mislead into believing a narrative that was only partially true because we haven't been given the whole story, just the parts being told at that given moment. The more that comes out the more the story expands.

@@AutoWorldConway these albums are on repeat. I’ve watched the videos so many times I could probably play them back perfectly in my head. Listen to the albums again but with idea that Tyler separated from Blurryface and realized it was a mistake and is now trying to get him back. It’s a different story and there’s less gaps. Pieces seem to fit together a lot better. I’ve also been thinking about the antlers and that they may only be able to control a body without a host. Trash appeared to be lifeless at the beginning and we know the bishops killed the one Tyler was able to control. There might be a connection there. The ending of this video is a bit confusing with the light going out and then the torches. I still think that the light that went out was the dead bishops and the light that was destroyed was another bishops. If the bishops can only touch their own light Tyler could have been seeing what he could do with this new power or because Tyler is effectively all the bishops he can touch any of the lights and it was his way of showing them he’s the one who’s in control. Nothing is a mistake. There is a meaning there and we just haven’t found it. And we might never find it. I don’t think this was ever a story that was meant to be finished and that a lot of it was left for interpretation to allows us to use it as a way to conquer our own fears and anxiety and move forward in our own lives. My brain is just a mess of theories that need confirmation and if any of them prove to be right could change a lot of what we think we know. I have some crazy theories about what Redecorate is actually about and Hopefully we get a music video for it that follows closer to the lore than some of the Trench videos did.

@@AutoWorldConway I’m actually currently working through and trying to figure out what I believe each song is talking about and analyzing any videos that go along with them. Then I want to figure out what order they actually go in. I’m not sure where to post anything though. I think my biggest problem is going to be that even the live shows help tell the story and then the livestream performances create a different narrative. If you have any suggestions on where I should post please let me know. I would love to have people help put perspective on some things as there are a few songs I’m kinda blank on, outside of Vessel where I don’t believe all songs tie into anything, as the album WASN’T always believed to be part of the story but I believe actually contains important information even if it’s not part of the story is has details pertaining to the story being told.

Most of the time I don't get very far because it can be hard to understand everything especially because english isn't the language i grew up with and I don't have people around me knowing about dema, not even about trench. So I try my best to understand, now at 3am. Loved the details!! Also the fact that migraine plays in the video, They are pointing it back to vessel. With the darker blue outfits, clancy’s letters on dma website talking about “bodies” as vessels, I think they’re gonna end this topic with the next album.

I don't know if you noticed, but Ned actually grew antlers earlier too, when he was swimming around in the end of the Chlorine mv! :) but then I think they disappeared in the very last shot

i love this!!!! wonderful editing and theory! as for the light that turned off, i never noticed that! i ultimately think that keons died (as confirmed by mark from the tøp team) because he was helping from the inside. giving vital information to help the bandito act. he’s described as a warm, welcoming, kind bishop. this could be an act, or it could be … uh… him… anyways great job!!!

Okay, theory, and please hear me out on this one. People previously considered Saturday to contain no Lore, but now I think it does. The Outside MV confirms that Bishops can possess/transfer souls temporarily. This was hinted at in Mulberry Street's lyric: "Keep your sunny days, leave us in the rain. Tie strings to our hands and feet, to rain on your parade." The line immediately after this is "You can have the weekends, we can live between them.", suggesting that the Bishops posses citizens of DEMA on the weekends. This is backed up by the fact that "Fridays are better than Sundays, coz Sundays are my suicide days." Now to Saturday. The lyrics go: "Slow down on Monday. Not a sound on Wednesday. Might get loud on Friday. But on Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, we'll paint the town." showing that the Bishops posses their citizens on a Saturday. I know this theory is pretty far-fetched, but in my head it sounded cool

5:25 good to know I wasn’t the only one who recognised this

I’m pretty sure that Tyler didn’t kill the bishop, he just briefly revived him. It’s clear to me that that one particular bishop that got killed somehow turned against the other bishops and their beliefs in order to help Tyler and Josh. Maybe this means that sometimes you get help by people you didn’t expect help from. And now I see so many relations with the Neds. It stands for Neurological Expansion Device I think! And remember how “so keep Ned bayou” sounds like “we are banditos” backwards? And then they all stood up top like the Banditos did in the Jumpsuit mv

I just watch again their livestream and during Stressed Out, there's neon lights like in The Outside music video...

Something really cool would be if Tyler, Trash, and the banditos staged an all out raid in Dema.

I think that the bishop that had the antlers in the beginning was helping Tyler and josh escape the boat in the Saturday music video by using the antlers to control trash and the other bishops realize that he was helping Tyler and josh escape so they try to kill him

The position Tylers was doing on the end of the ritual is the same position of the statue behind the two kids in the song Nico and the Niners.

Hear me out on this, maybe no chances is about that bishop going to find Tyler again, “we come for you” “we’ve got people on the way, we want u home in one piece now” maybe it’s about nico, who knows, hell it could even be about Ned in a way cuz of his sort of shout out in bounce man “she’s been crying but I’ll tell her ur fine” referencing Rosie’s love for Ned, who knows, I haven’t been very deep into this lore since trench’s launch, I’m just speculating

The snow coming down shortly before Tyler raps kinda reminds me of the Fairly Local Music Video…

Another thing is all of the references to migraine, everything from the "island of violence" that you pointed out, to the fact that the synth melody from migraine was played when tyler waas exploring the cave

1:21 you mentioned word "DESTROY" on displayed Trashes body. There is also a "map" of the street called "Clancy way" located in OH.

i also want to point out, while in the cave before they see ned, migraine is playing in the background

The part where Tyler and Josh went inside a cave to me symbolizes going through dark times. We all do go through dark times and sometimes, we have to navigate our way through it alone. Josh found himself with a bunch of Neds in a scene which kind of looks like the Levitate music video and when Tyler follows the one Ned out of the cave, another familiar scene unfolds. Snow is falling instead of the yellow petals, Josh was able to get out of the dark cave and is waiting for Tyler along with the other Neds above the trench, or a beach in this music video, and instead of Nico, it's now Ned. In the Jumpsuit music video, Nico touches and brands Tyler while in this music video, a Ned gives him its antlers in order to possess a bishop. Last time, Josh helped Tyler get out of Dema. This time, it was Tyler who really saved himself. I think there will be 1 more music video to wrap up the SAI era ends. It's either Redecorate or No Chances. Trench had Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, and Levitate.

I think you're right, that Ned symbolizes Tyler's creativity. In the Chlorine music video, Tyler and Josh try really hard to get Ned to swim through the Chlorine and grow his antlers. They can't force Ned to jump in the pool, but they can keep filling the pool with more Chlorine until he does. It's interesting to see that Ned's antlers can help fight the bishops, who represent Tyler's anxieties.

In a different video, the pattern above destroy was a place named Clancy Rd

The primary colors are red, yellow, and blue, and red represents the bad guys/the bishops/mental illness, and yellow is representative of the good guys/the banditos/recovery, it makes sense blue would be there too- it's probably representative of something in between, something that is used by both but not beholden to either. personally, i think trash/blue/ned is representative of creativity it seems really likely the neds represent the clique, too- possibly along with the banditos (though i think the banditos are both more specific and more general, being just,,, people who are in recovery and helping others heal as well, which is a lot of the clique, but not all of them)

All I got from the music vid was Tyler dancing in a cave saying "I AM MEGATRON!"

Maybe the light that went out after tyler possessed him was Nico’s or maybe even blurry? i’m not sure the lore is hurting my brain lately lmao love it though ❣️

Great review and theory! Which bishop do you think was killed? I think it was Sacarver with all of the yellow. I’ve heard other theories that maybe Sacarver has been subtly trying to help Tyler. So was Sacarver possessing Trash and vicariously helping them escape and then giving his/her life to help. Also, what are your thoughts with Migraine playing when he enters the cave? I think it is him entering his mind. I love the world they’ve created!

Thank you!! I think it was Keons and I have a video coming soon explaining why. But I like the Sacarver theory too! Oo that's a really cool idea about Tyler entering his mind! It's definitely tied to migraine because they are on Voldsøy aka the island of violence. And sometimes to stay alive, you gotta kill your mind (or the bishops in your mind).

that's a good question, I think it is a possibility because that is keons' song bc chokeonsmoke. The only thing that doesn't make sense is why didn't Nico take Tyler to Dema. Unless Keons is responsible for bringing people into Dema. Haha idk if that answers your question but that was my brainstorm :)

I think Keons was killed because Clancy described him as being the nicest out of all of the nine bishops, which ties into the theory that Keons was helping the duo. He also had a close relationship to Clancy, and was with him the whole time that he wrote SAI. He probably planned for the bishops to host the submarine party in the Saturday MV, and used the antlers to control Trash and sink the submarine to allow Tyler and Josh to escape. Because of this, the other bishops killed him for it.

Did you guys also notice that between 2:32 and 2:52 of the music video, the music in the background sounds like “Leave this City”? I don’t know what that means but it’s cool

From Clancy's letter and the ritual photos, it is mentioned that to perform the mental control on a vessel, the vessel must be dead, What if Trash (Sea monster) is already dead, that the Bishop was controlling Trash's body to destroy the boat in the video of 'Saturday' (NOTE that the eye color of Trash in the 'Saturday' video is also yellow, same as the beginning of this video), which continues to the start of this video and other bishops killed the bishop for the betrayal (?). and after the bishop got stabbed and die, Tyler perform the ritual and controls the body of the dead bishop to sabotage other bishops and DEMA

This is a great theory!! Also, Trash's eyes have been yellow since the beginning, even on the album cover of Scaled and Icy so maybe he's been dead and being controlled this whole time? Maybe by the bishops or by others as well.

I've just been thinking that in the No Chances lyrics video in the part we come for you no chances 7 rows appear one below the other, and if 2 bishops are dead that make sense khdkjhsk idk

"I don't think stabbing the bishop killed him" this means trash is alive too. Tyler probably smashed a different bishop's light, maybe nico? And then that one died too when dropped to the floor

I like, that banditos are rising again. Cause, I had that feeling through the SAI that they were destroyed and everything is Dema now. But now, I hope for battle)

That is a theory that a lot of people have because in his letters, Clancy describes Keons as a kind and forgiving bishop. I don't really think that is enough to prove anything yet, but it does make for a great theory! |-/

Hey, i was just checking your neon light theory and saw something. During the music video we can see all 9 bishops. If we focus on the two standing on the right side, we see they still there until 5:19, but from then on, only 1 can be seen. A few seconds later, the neon light on that side is turned off. You may be into something with that. Great job btw

What if this one neon light which is turned of is the representation of one of bishops (i think it was keon) that was friend with clancy and now he decided to object the dema after all he saw

I definitely think that Nico left to search for Tyler because at the end of the Keons dancing segment he's visibly concerned and proceeds to leave before any of the other bishops do

You said in the video that there were 8 neds around the fire. But if we also count the one with large horns it makes 9 neds, like 9 bishops. This last ned's horns were used to control the body of the Bishop, some say it's Keons. So maybe, every ned is connected to a different Bishop

When tyler and Josh are going into the cave following the Ned's you can kinda like hear the beat from migraine

not sure if it has been said yet but during a brief moment in Chlorine when Ned is in the water, he has antlers.

If you listen to no chances your theories also match. From the lyrics no chances should be the next part of the story

so is there 9 neds than ? does that tie in to the 9 bishops somehow ? does a bishop have their own ned or vise versa ? i may be way off but seems interesting lol

Each ned and each bishop is going to be a different dragon, the dragon at the beginning of this video was the dragon from fantasmic, shy away was puff the magic dragon, Saturday was the one from the never ending story

For some reason, I think the bischop that gets killed is Keons. Because of the connection with the letters. I think Keons helped Tyler escape on the boat, by possessing Trash. Thats what gets him killed. I also think that the bischops possesed Dan and Sally in Good Day Dema. The light theory sounds interesting and makes sense. Maybe possessing people is part of vialism.

I have another theory I agree with everything you said and I think the Neds resemble nico and the niners because after the Ned gives Tyler the antlers he disappeared just as the other person doing the ritual died and before the ned disappeared there would be nine Neds in all
