Update: The digital version of The Outbound Ghost is available for purchase again on Nintendo Switch. Publisher is now listed as Conradical Games, the developer. I checked the dev's Twitter and I saw no announcement about it, only noticed it because it appeared back in my Switch wish list today, So it must have happened within the last 2 weeks. Haven't even taken the plastic wrapping off mine yet (backlog is huge), but got it earlier this year for a great price. Man, that is a major difference from unpatched to patched.

Even with the patch that battle load time is still unacceptable

Pretty sure the battle load time basically stayed exactly the same. I counted to the same number both times.

Yeah, I'd recommend it if it's still on sale. You can only get physicals of it and from what I can tell they're starting to sell out. despite the problems, it is a good game at its core and the patch made it to where I think the performance is acceptable on Switch. The problem is just ethics, the developer does not get any money from sales of this game because they're suing the publisher currently. I mainly bought it because it was cheap, and I wasn't seeing any gameplay comparisons for the patches, just people asking if it was good and if the patches fixed anything. Personally, I like the game, I hope everything gets worked out and it gets re-listed properly.

I know basically nothing about the situation beyond what you've shown me but yikes, not a great launch. Sounds like the publisher royally screwed things up.

publisher pushed out a build of the console versions that the developer did not approve of, and it resulted in really bad review scores making the game kind of dead on arrival, so the developer is now suing the publisher over it. He also did some childish stuff like vandalizing the Steam page, but I really get the vibe the publisher was trying to send this game out to die for whatever reason cuz it's actually decent after the patch. @@PSPMan Yeah the game seems just alright from the bit of gameplay I've seen, but no one should be screwed over for their hard work like this.
