The character development, the pacing, and the absolute heartbreak of the plot twist that Diluc won't join the Fatui is masterfully done. Beautiful cinematography, and believable characters too. 100% Rotten Tohmahtoes

@@akkira5919 i mean… but they did? i mean for one there’s the mole in the manga whose face we never see who looks suspiciously like dottore, but after that dottore and one of his lakeys literally go into the city for a report on why one of their envoys was dusted by a small green child, 3 years after the crepus/ursa incident, also in the manga.

This is masterfully done, the story-telling, pace and expressions are wonderfully-done! When Childe lowkey sympathized with Diluc when he saw Crepus, and the "finally laugh a little" bit showing that he could be genuine with this sentence... MMM MY HEART

Childe would 100% break out into singing and initiate a duet right then and there.

This is so funny because trying to convince Diluc to join the Fatui is something I could actually see Childe doing, if just because he thinks he'd make a great sparring partner. I love how you manage to convey their emotions so well, every little detail shows on their faces and it's what really sells this thing. I follow you on Insta and just got this recommended, I'm glad I found your KZread :D

Unrealistic. Diluc would have impaled him as soon as Childe said "Right here-" /lh

It kinda make sense for childe to ask diluc to join the fatui, I mean in the genshin manga which is Canon, diluc used to use a delusion just like the fatui harbinger but for good and he and childe can both use a vision and delusion.

This is even better when you consider the fact that the harbingers have the name of characters from la commedia dell'arte, so you could technically call them a circus

Yoooooo Childe putting the insignia next to Crepus is straight up disrespectful. Anyways, i love this so much. I love the story and especially your style. This is so underrated it hurts. You get a sub instantly

Wowie zowie! I gotta say, this is the first animatic period, not just genshin, but the first animatic Ive seen where HOW the song was sung is actually shown on the characters faces. Like Diluc’s bitter smile when the singer chuckles sarcasticly, even though hes clearly pissed. Very good expressions, and good job intertwining the actual song with the actions. I also like the… ah, how to put it. Bouncy?? Effect in some parts, like when Childe narrows his eyes from the bottom in a cheeky manner. Very snappy, very good!!!

Diluc doesn't need that insignia Childe's giving him, he's already got too many from his goddamn ascension requirements

Childe was promptly smacked with a flaming claymore all the way out of mond's City gates with that insignia embedded in his face BUT diluc could admit the singing was pretty good

Okay real quick because I HAVE to ramble about this because I'm OBSESSED with how beautifully well done this is! First off, I LOVE how cheeky and full of himself Childe is in this, since that man is a HUGE Narcissist. The way he pours HIMSELF his own drink with DILUC'S wine, then even drinks Diluc's shot before his own. (Diluc doesn't even like wine and yet he's STILL offended!) Childe is SO shameless that he just outright puts his hands on his shoulders and even pulls him out his own chair and SITS in it! And Diluc is JUST as well done. He CLEARLY wants NOTHING to do with Childe, but is willing to tolerate him as he still has an image to uphold, but shows his own distaste for Childe. You can just FEEL the condensing and passive aggressive act from not only the lyrics but with his movements. He even tries to come across as relaxed as he takes off his jacket and places it on the opposite chair all the while side eyeing Childe the entire time. During Diluc's verse Childe's smug face is so fitting as he most likely finds Diluc's attempt at remaining calm, but is clearly agitated, then he just WALKS AWAY as if he grolew bored after a while and just casually looks at his things. I also loved that little moment of sympathy from Childe as he looked over at the framed picture of Crepes. Only to be pulled away by Diluc as his own patience is wearying thin. The way Childe reacts by wiping away his moment of humanity and replacing it with his aggrogence is SO GOOD! And yet as the vocals grow softer, Childe doesn't seem to be pushing to convince Diluc anymore and yet still dangles the offer over him. Your work really did pay off and I love every second of it!

Amazingly done! The plot and expressions fit perfectly! I love when childe takes dilucs shot and drags him out of his chair. The part about crepus and his old mask is really emotional and this is just so amazing ahhhhhh. I cant even say how many times I rewatched this. Also the "don't you see that I'm okay with this uptown boy I get to play" fits Diluc perfectly. They are both in my team and id like to imagine this happens when I log off.

I've gone down a rabbit hole, and I think I'll stay here.

This concept is really good I wondered awhile ago if they know about eachother since they’re probably close in age and Diluc used that Delusion that one time. I love the character movement and expressions, it helps tell the story. Childe’s ego and Diluc’s attitude make a great dynamic and make me wonder why there aren’t more Diluc joins the Fatui! AUs that ive seen of anyways.

I think Diluc is a year or two older than Childe so when he laid waste to the Fatui I think it was probably before Childe was that high ranked so idk if he would actually know about it, well except that Diluc is on the fatui's blacklist so maybe he would? But also Childe isn't really the type of person to go over the list of who the Fatui don't like.
