I like to think this was at the end of Spanish colonization, China's going to be the bartender since we were chill with China back then especially with trades. Spain is Philippine's current boss here and USA is trying to convince PH to join him to see "the other side" because he knows he can get rid of Spain and give him better opportunities. The terms in the song really sound like what we would tell a country. But They'd end up going from Spanish to us. Just another horrible piece of our past that most Americans don't even care about that much. It sucks, but hopefully we can remember our history for the good and bad. Times like this is part of why I'm in college to be a history teacher. I hope that the darkest can be taught along with the light. Plenty of good and bad exist within us, but only the good is regular taught in schools. Maybe one day we'll grow up as a nation and be better. It's up to us to push for a future like that. Hopefully we'll be at that point sooner rather than later, but certain events in our nation that I have been leaving throughout my young life has lowered my hope, but I know with hard work and dedication anything is possible. I don't really know why I felt like commenting all this on this random video, but I just felt like it needed to be said somewhere I guess.

You know, it's funny. You're totally right, but I'm from spain and I live in Germany. In Germany they tell history blunt and honest. If it's good it's good, but you know when it's not they'll teach the s*it out of it. And in Spain I'm told a lot of the good stuff isn't taught. We weren't that bad. The distribution of vaccines in our colonies could be a good example.

Yeah, and the fact that filipinoes don't have proper education except for the half filipinoes. This is so freaking GOOD!

Historically accurate, because the Americans helped us Filipinos (Philippines) from Spain, but they *bought* us from Spain, put us (basically when I mean 'us' I mean Philippines cuz Im from Philippines) in colonisation for years until we broke free thanks to (idk who exactly). So basically I just gave ya a little history (Araling Panlipunan) lesson. :) Edit: Darn, this is a REALLY old comment. I just wanna say that if ever you want confirmation on history, I suggest looking it up on the Internet or reading about it from books rather than taking someone's word for it from a YT comment section. This will help prevent any misinformation. Past-me and present-me can barely remember anything about our Philippine History classes, so if you really want to know if what past-me said is true, just look it up.

I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN PHILIPPENS but now I live in Canada. (I feel like the time line in this vid is from the world wars where happening... A.K.A when Philippines was at war with Japan (we did NOT start it) and the Americas bombed Japan and stuff and helped is with Japan. Basically what I'm saying is that I think Philippines was BeStIeS with America after that and that is why so many filipinos and filipinas immigrated to America) :D thank you for your time...

in the philippines. because a lot is happening that is unbelievable so sometimes we are sad but we deprive it of fun and smile. so we have a problem in just one hour we are fine and happy and always smiling. just like when your girlfriend leaves you. you will emote and cry for years or months but in the philippines one day you will be comfortable and happy again you will still see and feel with a smile and with joy. so when someone is separated we laugh at it because whoever is separated he feels that in the long run the sadness in his chest will also disappear. so the philippines looks sad but as long as you smile it is comfortable and you are happy😁😁😁
