Osmotic resistance of erythrocytes is a method for assessing the physico-chemical properties of erythrocytes, which consists in the study of resistance (resistance) to various influences.
Osmotic resistance characterizes the resistance of erythrocytes to hemolysis when salt solutions with decreasing concentration are added. The lower the osmotic resistance of erythrocytes, the earlier hemolysis occurs.
