Bugs Bunny has to be like the best childhood hero one could have. I mean, he was clever, a troll, had the best comebacks and also looked really good in womens clothing.

When Mel Blanc died I always felt that was the end of Bugs Bunny. No other voice actor has matched his greatness.

Watch Mojo, I am shocked and dismayed! You forgot something rather important! Because of his cartoon Super-Rabbit in 1943, Bugs Bunny was officially enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He remained in active duty until he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant.

In the last scene in this clip he sings, "Don't bury me now, - Wait till I die" - very macabre and humorous. Prior to the 1936 all-white version of bugs, named "happy-rabbit", there was an all-black version of this rabbit that pre-dated mickey mouse and shared some of the same characteristics featured in some early B/W cartoons by Walt Disney.

Bugs bunny is simply... amazing! My favorite character of all time.

I always used to love bugs bunny and I still do,he's so funny and cool!

Something interesting I learned about the line "What's up Doc?" Tex Avery used the line, which was a popular phrase in his home state. He was surprised how well received the line was as the audience was howling with laughter.

Also Bugs Bunny originated from a Quale Bird, which is where he got the phrase "Whats up Doc" from.

There's something about his early form that he was drawn in that makes me feel really uncomfortable. I get that way with early Disney drawings too. Hard to explain.

I grew up with this, good memories!

I remember one where Porky was hunting was getting thwarted and heckled by a little white rabbit. His character was just like those first few proto-bugs cartoons, so technically that would have been his first appearance

Wabbit is probably the closest you could get to original Bugs Bunny shorts, just like Mickey's new shorts cartoon Mickey Mouse. The Looney Tunes Show was an embarrassment.

Daniel Medina Looney Toons was kinda of an enbarrassment because the plotlines of a few episides were quite hard to follow for me. But it did have good comedy

Ahh.. 'Merry Melodies' and 'Looney Tunes' defined my child hood :-D I'm Australian and to me, these cartoons are synonymous with watching the Saturday mornings cartoons in my pyjamas, sitting in my bean bag, eating vegimite toast and drinking millo and milk! oh nostaligia!

To describe Bugs in one word: versatile.

1940's cartoons were the best. I love 80s action toons, but no decade had better comedic cartoons.

Pretty good video, though some things are missing: 1. Bugs Bunny's first appearance was technically in the 1938 Looney Tunes short, "Porky's Hare Hunt". 2. His design for that time is what is referred to as "Proto-Bugs" (considering how different he originally looked). 3. Mel Blanc also did the voice of Proto-Bugs. 4. His personality was also slightly more wacky and over-the-top. 5. Proto-Bugs would go on to appear in some more LT shorts until his character was completely redesigned into the cartoon rabbit that many animation aficionados (young and old) have been familiar with for years. Just some things I decided to point out. Once again, pretty good video overall! :)

What's that background music in 0:31, I know its sounds like the bugs bunny show theme but I've never heard this one.

Technically that wasn't Bugs, that was Buzz Bunny renamed Ace Bunny and it was BASED off Bugs and the actual character. Remember Loonatics Unleashed was set in the future using established Looney characters as heroes and villains.
