    There just something about Arthur that makes him different to any other protagonist in a video you’ve ever played you genuinely get sad for him when he gets diagnosed with TB or even cry when he eventually dies

  • @hammerheadtheseawing3263

    @hammerheadtheseawing3263

    Жыл бұрын

    I think that comes from his potential when he dies. Although he had shown that he was a good man, it was ultimately his TB diagnosis that was the catalyst for him wanting to redeem himself and save who he could. Ironically, without TB, Arthur might’ve stayed with Dutch long after the split up.

    @@hammerheadtheseawing3263 That’s not entirely true. I will say I do agree with you on the part where Arthur getting TB made him change into a better man and make better decisions. But with or without TB. Arthur knew the gangs demise was coming. Dutch was changing drastically. Micah was in Dutch’s ear 24/7. Members of the gang started leaving due to Dutch’s actions. There’s no way Arthur would’ve stayed with the gang even if he didn’t have TB. He wanted John and his family to get out of the gang and live their lives because Arthur knew John still had a chance in this world. John had a family to live for. Arthur on the other hand. The only thing he was living for at that point was to make sure John got out alive. Which Arthur did successfully at the cost of his own life.

    Man o'muneh arthur morgan Arthur originally was a very explorotive person as he likes writing in the journal. Also to note in the Aberdeen pig farm before it gets wierd arthur actually has a smile in the cutscene before it gets strange so he clearly was grateful for the invitation despite rejecting the offer earlier Honestly if arthur had no redemption arc he probably would of just been seen as the man who saved John and that was it. The redemption arc made him so much better with showing he is human too with regret unlike Dutch.

The amount of efforts with the research, the editing, the beauty of your scenery shots, and your story telling is truly amazing. RDR2 is so detailed and extensive, all these stories are absolutely fascinating. I can't believe how deep these guys at Rockstar can go. My favourite so far are the Nosferatu nod and the Francis Sinclair mystery, I was not expecting that at all. Keep up the good work my man, this is unquestionably very high level youtube content.

    I think he would've stuck with Dutch, for a while longer at least. It was getting sick that made him see things clearly, lifted the cloud Dutch had over his mind. Arthur even says it himself a couple times all that really mattered to him, all that he believed in, was loyalty. Only sickness made him realise how silly that was. And even after his complete change of heart and outlook, he was still trying to reach Dutch, he didn't get to a point of hatred, just sadness and disappointment. And sure, he hated Micah, but he always hated and didnt trust Micah, he wasnt walking away from loyalty to Dutch/his family just cause someone he didn't like was there.

    I just installed RDR2 on my new computer that basically has the best hardware currently out. I just got done installing all the mods I will use. Mods are primarily visual enhancements. This is my second play through, my first was years ago on my crappy old computer. It looks so amazing on my new build with mods, I wish I could go back and have my first run on this computer. Your video got me hyped to play. I’m going to go super slow, and enjoy this masterpiece.

    It’s always been suggested that Arthur was from Welsh heritage. He’s built like one, Morgan is a Welsh surname, Boudicca is seen as a Welsh heroine and he also says his family aren’t English. I will always be biased being a Taff as well but that’s fairly compelling evidence.

    Just wanted to mention that during 3:37 you say that Barry Linton(Mary's husband) passed away from an unknown illness. Truth is that we know which illness it was, it was pneumonia, Mary says that to Arthur when they first meet in RDR2. I instantly remembered it but had to check the wiki to make sure, crazy to think I recalled such a small detail.

    I have this belief that Dutch ordered the hit on Arthur's family to stop him from leaving the gang. Dutch is a narcissist and would do anything to sway favor in his direction; with the support of Arthur and Hosea; even though they both knew Dutch to embellish his philosophical ideologies onto others.

    @@beavers1978 I'm pretty sure Dutch and Hosea were well aware of Arthur's adventures outside of the gang; to check up on Eliza, and could put two and two together and realise he also had a son. It would be pretty hard for Arthur to keep that kind of a thing a secret for long.

    I don’t think that quite fits into Dutch’s progression as a character. He was described as keeping himself very controlled and dedicated himself to principle, which slipped over time marked the murder of Heidi McCort on the Blackwater ferry. Narratively, it doesn’t make sense for him to have been making insane actions prior to his insanity.
