I didn't even had to do research to notice the writing was a lot more like tvd that's when I understood that Michael who brought these amazing story lines was not on the show anymore. The season 4 left such a beautiful impression to me it felt like the series final and in my mind it is. I could spend my entire day complaining about season 5 so I'm gonna stop right there lol.

I think the part that kinda hit me hard was when Klaus passed by and Elijah didn't know who he was. Elijah shook his head and Klaus saw it as Elijah acknowledging what he asked for when Klaus said don't try to save me when I lose it. Because Klaus knew he was going to eventually lose his mind from not being with Hope he shook his head and Klaus thought that Elijah accepted it. The the little smile that Klaus had kinda made me sad because it was like he accepted his lonely fate from that point not knowing that Elijah really didn't know who he was.

While I agree that Elena was stupid to compel her pain away, Elijah did it so he could keep Hope safe. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to resist his need to always save Klaus and that would have put Hope in danger. So as much as his decision made me sad, at least it has a better rationale than Elena's

I love how Kol came back even after everything bc he knew that Hope is the most important person in their family and saving her is important

Omg it hurts watching Elijah just say “Yeah” when he knows he’ll forget that in just a few hours

When they were standing in this circle as a family of all powerful beings, the picture of the greek gods sitting on mount Olympus popped into my mind.

OMG! There were so many heartbreaking moments in all the finales this season, but Klaus saying goodbye to Hope, and Hope yelling for her dad was the only thing that made me cry like a big baby:( And now theirs going to be another time jump and Hope will be a teenager! I can't wait to see Klaus with a teenage daughter! Unfortunately, once again we have to wait until early next year.

Poor Klaus, again away from his daughter :'(

Amazing scene... Can't wait for season 5, and whoever plays a teenage Hope better live up to this little girls performance because she was phenomenal.

This was a Great episode. I think I loved everything about it. I actually felt for the Mikaelsons which is saying something. Especially, Elijah which really really surprised me. I loved that Marcel could and was willing to help him. Michael Narducci wrote a Fantastic Final Episode. Vincent was Excellent. I loved his conversation with Rebekah. He was not having any nonsense.

donte Albert That's really to be expected. They have been clamoring for Marcel to die or be de-powered since the Season 3 Finale. M. Narducci made it clear in interviews back then that Marcel was not the Villain. Every episode in season 4 showed him playing fair with the Mikaelsons. Still, people bitched about Marcel. I guess they'll continue to complain next season. Whatever! I'm happy with the finale.

Im happy with the direction the series is gonna end in seson 5 and im one of the so called miklesons fans other people may not but oh well the change of personally in each of them since TVD is a fact but I like it because I can relate as a viewer can't wait to sse the final season in April

In all honesty, I'm good for Vincent not taking any nonsense from the original family. But, his conversation with Rebekah made him seem so stupid. Rebekah comes up to him mad because he didn't tell them everything about the plan. He says he didn't do that because he wasn't trying to convince them to agree with the plan. Rebekah tells him, that makes no sense because they would do anything for Hope, even if it means leaving her. He takes that as her proving his point. That makes no sense because they wouldn't have argued with him. He made it perfectly clear that the plan was their only option. Yeah, nobody would have been happy about it, but nobody argued with the plan.

That look Klaus gave Vincent at 0:58😂😂

This is heartbreaking. I feel for Klaus. And seeing Hope say "Dad" before he leaves. Hayley holding Hope back. *The Feels* :'(

I was thinking the exact same thing. FaceTime, Skype, they could even just send letter mail. The only thing about visiting Freya is I think they need to do it outside of New Orleans because I think the Hollow is somewhat linked to the city grounds? Freya did say something to Rebekah about the whispering going down once she left the city.

He’s English and he lived in Wales for a while and clearly picked up the accent because when he said “I love you” sounded kinda Welsh

Freya should have became a vampire and took klaus place. If she was willing to do it for Hayley why not for Klaus. Why did Hope have to live without klaus when there was another option. UnknownOne Lol! Why would she? Her family agreed, nobody else had any better ideas. Freya wasn't able to come up with a solution. She told Rebekah it was the only way and they all participated. Vincent didn't force anyone to do anything. He didn't sacrifice anyone against their will. His plan saved Hope!

I think this is what the producers and writers were going for, everyone was constantly complaining that this family was selfish. Putting "always & forever" infront of everything and everyone else. Hurting others by protecting their own.. davina, marcel and everyone else they've wronged because of their bond and promise. I guess they wanted to give the mikaelsons a chance to redeem themselves by doing this one selfless act.
