I feel like when Kol and Freya talk he realized four things. 1. She was madly sorry for what happened to Davina. 2. She doesn't care that no one searched for her or about what Kol said to her. 3. He found someone to keep him in check. 4. He found a sibling who deeply and sorrowly cares about him.

I don't think that she is sorry about the decision that she made. She genuinely believes that she was doing what was best to save her family. She's sorry that Davina had to die (in her mind) and that Kol was hurt; but not for doing what she did.

Exactly and that's the funny part, she was probably sorry in her mind just cause Kol was hurt (for some time, he came along too later) anyways yes she don't think what she did was wrong and genuinely think killing a 17,18 yr old, withou giving a second shit about it, to save a 1000 yr old is right, knowing that , that 1000 yr old is going to kill 1000 and 1000s of more innocent lives to survive, but its family after all no matter how evil and cruel stuff they do, they still justify themselves somehow or people do this noble work for them

That's why I really liked this part of the storyline. I understand exactly why Freya and Elijah made their decision. It was completely in-character for both of them, especially Freya who has spent 1000 years trying to connect with her siblings, and now that she has, is willing to do anything for them. I also understand why others such as Marcel and the others would react the way that they did (and feel that they are completely justified in their feelings). That's one thing that I think that they're doing better on The Originals than The Vampire Diaries. On The Vampire Diaries, protecting Elena and those she loved was to be done at all costs; and that point of view wasn't challenged nearly enough (in my opinion). Here, we get a clear explanation for their rationale, but they still face major consequences for what they did.

well kinda yeah about TVD part, and yes still what they did was not just wrong, it was so freaking cruel and doing it to a teenager, just a child, take it to another extreme level of brutalness and I just really hope that these 'consequences' are not just those 5 years cause klaus suffer there not Elijah, just can't wait to see Elijah suffer (can't believe I'm saying this tho as he was my reason to start watching TO) but he deserve it and if they let him get away with it and keep it unrealistic like TVD, then I'm done

I love how Freya has a such a great relationship with every one of her siblings

Freya and Kol's relationship have always been one of the best things about the Originals

Why would they delete this scene, it could have helped show, how Freya slowly mended her relationship with Kol, and that she unlike Elijah actually showed regret over what they did to Davina.

He didnt want to do it and he definitely didnt want the decision on his hands (which is why he left it up to Freya), but he didnt really show regret after it happened either. At least not for Davina herself. He only showed regret in how it affected Marcel and Kol, and how it fractured Marcels relationship with them. So you stop.

@@georgyflory9092 Again, that wasn’t really regret for her sake. He didn’t even acknowledge her when it happened, instead apologizing to *Marxel*. He was regretful when she disappeared, yes, but it’s more likely because he recognized that it worked, and because it worked he knew their relationship with Kol and Mrcel would be changed. Tbf, I didn’t think Freya was regretful about it either. She was only regretful for how it affected Kol and later her relationship with Vincent.

Tsetso Mostrev the scene it self may have made no sense, but when you watch the finale especially at the end where they walk off hand in hand, this scene makes that look not as "wtf?" as it did.

@@klausslegacy5826, not exactly. What made absolutely no sense, was Kol showing up in the following episode, talking to Freya as if he was no longer angry. This scene explains what happened. Freya's love and devotion towards him and the rest of her siblings, is ferocious and absolute, but she's also compassionate. In this scene, Kol clearly sees that she's heartbroken for what she did. He understands that sacrifice. Because he admits that he would've sacrificed anyone, even Freya and the rest of his family, to save Davina. But Freya isn't angry about it, she just understands and accepts it. There's no lecture about family, no violent outburst. She just understands him. This is where Kol sees that she's different from the rest of the family. There's no judgement from her, just devotion to her family. That's why he smiles and forgives her.

Bren Ga I think it’s still Rebekkah, since after he came back as a witch, they started getting along better, and after he died a witch, she never stopped looking for a way to bring him back, until she was forced to stop looking and got cursed and had to be daggered, but Freya would be a close second, Klaus would probably be the brother he gets along with better, and Elijah last after they sacrificed Davina and he never once showed concern for Kol.

He was until this moment. Where he learned she tried to find another way, would have helped him save her if she could, and didnt do it just to hurt him (after a thousand years of his family hurting him every chance they get its hard for him to tell the difference sometimes). And the fact that she understood he had every right to be upset and wasnt yelling at him or trying to dagger him like the others would have in the past, showed him she was different, and it reminded him he wants things to be different too.

As much as I love these scenes I hate how Kol said he would have sacrificed his family for Davina. I mean Davina guys. High end idiocy. I would actually hope (no pun intended) that Kol was just trying to grab attention with that quote because that really makes me lose more love and respect towards him as a character.

But really can you blame him? I don't see that as idiocy, Davina fully tried everything to get him back, treated him far better than most of what his family had done to him, they didn't want to deal with him just like with Finn and just shunned him whenever they saw necessary, with that treatment why would you need enemies if you have that kind of "family"? Let's be honest, the whole Mikaelsons are a bunch of toxic and dysfunctional relationships and people, only sustained on the fact that they can't be treated like such cause they're not human and this is fiction, the trio who clearly favoured themselves more (even though still hurt each other insanely) were always Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, whereas Kol and mostly Finn were incredibly overlooked by them, why should they put them first if they did not?

Then you haven't paid attention to the show. Kol had a thousand years DYING to be a part of that vow, which only included him when he put something on the table. Whereas with Davina, she was the one who did right by him in a thousand years. She was the one who cared enough to do EVERYTHING to bring him back. Davina was more of a family to him than his blood ever was.
