I prefer these animatronics because they have more of a horror aspect unlike the modern animatronics such as the Glamrocks. The old animatronics look lifeless and uncanny, making them perfect for horror.

One thing I really love about these designs is that, ignoring how obviously robotic they look, they're designed like real animatronics. Sometimes, people get so obsessed with the horror aspect of FNaF that they tend to forget that these are supposed to be mascots of a family/children's restaurant and will try too hard to make the animatronics scary. And while people will argue that real animatronics are freaky, they ignore the fact that the ones the fnaf characters are based on weren't intentionally designed to be that way. Basically, it's the uncanny valley. And that's what's so great about these original designs. The only exception are animatronics who have a justifiable reason to be more outwardly scary, like in the case of Springtrap and the Nightmares.

The orginals are so well made i cant help but be happy whenever i see them. They always have been and always will be perfect in my eye, their uncanny in the right lighting but change their emotion and lighting and they look friendly loveable and perfectly in tune with their inspirations. I think the one scene in the fnaf movie showed it perfectly where when freddy was approaching mike he was creppy, uncanny, and somewhwt unpredictable, but then when he realized Mike was with abby his expression and mood change made him go back to being reasonably loveable

depends on the execution, the Toys and Glamrocks could be scary with the right execution.

What I like about the models from the original two games is that they seem weirdly realistic in a way. They look like they would be able to perform in front of toddlers and children, however they also have a creep factor with them as well. This doesn’t really apply to the models in the later games, like how in SL, where the Funtimes were so creepy that they don’t look like they could be able to perform in front of children, or in SB, where these models are TOO kid-friendly, and don’t look creepy at all. Edit: When I said “Creepy” about the Funtimes, I was referring to their faceplates opening on stage. This is shown in the SL teaser trailer. Seeing your favorite Chuck E. Cheese mascot’s face open up to see that it’s a robot would be traumatizing.

I think the reason why they answered mostly fnaf was because it was made by you, a FNAF channel.

Honestly, what you said is EXACTLY the main reason why I became so obsessed with Fnaf and the OG animatronics! The community was so creative and open to new ideas, and people made these bots so dang lovable in ways I never expected. I wouldn’t have been nearly as obsessed with Fnaf if it wasn’t for the community

I would’ve liked had the Classics had a more detailed modeling like the Withered animatronics like having a more refined modeling and stylized designs. That’s just me though. Edited: I also think the movie versions are better than the Classics from the games. Their differences just makes them look better.

I'm 100% sure that the movie designs are what the classics would've looked like if Scott's kickstarter had succeded back then during FNAF's development

Seeing as you're a FNAF channel, I think it's pretty obvious that you would get FNAF responses, regardless of the other questions or context.

I like how the designs are terrifying in certain situations, yet at the same time, perfectly suitable to be around kids and they would absolutely be a hit with children

These are my favorite versions of the animatronics I remember first playing Fnaf they scared me so much

I was expecting a compilation of all the previous “design” videos, but I’m happy to see it’s a new analysis. Great work springs!

The main reason why I love designs like the original five animatronics and (tho they're not in this video) The Smiling Critters is because they're simple, effective and appealing as the main reason why most Creepypasta characters like Jeff aren't scary is because their designs try way to hard to be scary and shocking but when you have characters like Freddy and Hoppy Hopscotch that are grounded it makes it more unnerving when used for horror in the right context

The designs work because you can see how they can interact in a restaurant. And how he's able to change the mood of the lighting can really boost up the creep factor. The little bit of endo sticking out, the groans, the clastrophobic atmosphere just works. They all have a good silhouette and well its a good group. Great video Springs! ^_^ ❤

Agreed and I haven’t even watched the video yet. They’re so perfectto, so simple and fit perfectly for their game.

I really love the entire original gang. They're just so iconic i can't not love them equally. But.....Chica holds a special place in my heart. Here's a little story of my first encounter with FNaF :3 (if you even care... _kicks a stone with my head down and hands in pockets_ /lh lol) I remember this quite vividly (which I'm very happy about, it doesn't happen often because of my issues with retaining information (adhd)). I really liked watching speedpaints back then. KZread recommended me a Chica speedpaint. The drawing was quite cute and innocent, and oh the shock that appeared on my young self's face when i searched "chica fnaf" into google, and was met with screenshots and gifs of jumpscares from the first game. iirc, i wasn't very scared, but i was shocked and creeped out. But most importantly, i was intrigued.

The originals imo still have the best designs out of any other character in this franchise, they hit the perfect balance of being both kid-friendly and Being off-putting/creepy, oh and another reason of why this designs kick ass is how lifeless and uncanny they were which make them absolutely terrifying and perfect for a horror game.

as for the pool I think that the fact that it was you making it changed the results, if a non-fnaf youtuber did the same I think there would be less Chicas and Bonnies and Foxys and Freddys and more Yogi or Bugs Bunny or Oswald or characters like those. Obviously that's true for lots of people (especially because most people don't know about old Characters such as Yogi or Oswald and today most people don't design characters using these animals because fnaf is very recognizable, so it's obvious that most people today recognize those four especially your subscribers)

The original designs will always hold a special place in my heart. Despite not being the best designs. Sincerely i think there is better designs for them that came later. I still think they hold up quite well. Even after all this time.

The Fazbear and friends gang perfectly execute the idea of complex enough to be original yet simple enough to remember. Which is what is good about their designs plus they probably create a sense of nostalgia in the older groups of FNaF fans probably because of Chuck E Cheese or Show biz Pizza being restaurants with animatronic performers (or at least used to)

The FNAF 1 designs ARE the faces of FNAF. There’s this feeling of soulless-ness. The very first example that the exteriors are made to appeal to children, while inches behind the fuzz, are crippled and crushed fleshy corpses bleeding out. Those poor kids that had their lives unfairly taken away by a cruel man. The lack of finer detail by using simple shapes also do a good job at giving that uneasy feeling. Rarely do you even see them IN motion. Still as statues. 0 personality when WE first saw them, 0 innocence, no empathy. They were out to kill us and no intention of supplying assistance. Is it clear yet why the Glamrocks will NEVER have my respect?

Like just look at how different the fnaf 1 animatronics act compared to every other. they act like lifeless zombies who once were human but now just husks of something that was once there. The fnaf 2 main animatronics act all the same. bland. but mangle acts different. like theyre in pain or confused. the withereds act confused and more aggrressive, like they dont know whats going on. and the puppet.. is well the puppet. springtrap acts like he knows everything, like he knows that hes going to kill you.

@@waggieentertainment9387 That’s honestly very true I really like the 80’s rock theme and I’m a sucker for that in the trailers they looked very menacing and acting like the old animatronics in the old games the old running animations looked threatening the fact burntrap was going to have a voice and a role in the game Monty and Chica deserved more they were cutoff (more proof they were cut off is that Cassie had blond hair and colors related to chica which would lead the theory that she would help but then they switched chica out for roxy that’s what I atleast think. Alot of lost content that would’ve made the Glamrocks more uncanny..
