Launch was a crazy time, Takumi could beat almost any unit, Ryoma and Hector were mythical units that only a select few had, and Subaki could clear entire arena teams because everyone just used Red units.

Kinda wish more gacha games did this in general. Animations are nice and really make hitting that max rarity summon/pull something special. Although it was different for FEH since most of the Heroes with that animation video were 4☆ rarity (Marth, Roy, and Camilla off the top of my head).

@@JAMllostthegamePokémon Masters does something similar where if you get a 5 star, you get a background with a quote the character in question says. If you’ve played enough games, you can easily tell who you got before the silhouette appears.

Something i will always be grateful about FEH is introducing me to Legion Instant favorite, +10 +30DF, fully built and now i got a cosplay of him

Launch Feh was an entirely different game, I’d say up until book 3 feh was really big for me

It's really interesting how this game changed over the years and giving characters much needed love. I've been playing feh since it first launched and what a crazy ride it has been looking back all the way until now

Validar not being in feh really is super hilarious after seven years and ten years after Awakening came out. Sucks to be you Validar! :P

Plus, he’s one of the very few major Awakening characters not in the game yet. For Fallen Chrom’s Forging Bonds, practically every playable Gen1 Awakening character was in it except for Vaike and Kellam (though the former was mentioned by name). And the whole plot of the C-Support was landing the final blow on Validar, who didn’t even get an off-screen dialogue.

The fact that i started playing a little after skill inheritance was added and in these 6 and a half years i've never randomly pulled an og Elise is crazy

I've played this game since March 2022. Look, I only got the game because I wanted Lucina and F!Corrin. But boy, how much I've grown over the past year. I finally have my Favorites Emblem.

(idk if I posted this already because I got an error, but here I go again) FEH and FGO being some of the oldest and still active gacha games is something else. Especially considering how archaic FGO feels. For other older gacha games THE iDOLM@STER had two before these in Cinderella Girls and Million Live and in the last two years they've finally ended their services since the newer rhythm games (Starlight Stage and Theater Days) have been doing well enough for them to makenthe move. I think Love Live! School Idol Fest was also as old, but that also hit end of service for SIF 2 that released in Japan recently this year (don't think it has hit Global release yet). There's also Kantai Collection, but I dont think you could classify that as a gacha. idk where that game is now, but I don't think ive heard of it beind EoS'd or else I'd probably still hear about it from somewhere on the Internet. So yeah, FEH and FGO are pretty much like grandparents at this point. I cant remember what other gacha games have been around since then that are still ongoing. EDIT: How could I forget the actual grand daddy gacha game Granblue Fantasy LMAOOOO 😂

I was there on day 1 and it was a crazy time being a fates baby. Just seeing how many fire emblem characters and games there were really opened me up to the franchise. It is because of the small launch pool that Catria is one of my favorite characters in FE

I'll enjoy launch. First 5* I got was Lucius. Takumi and Kagero were the biggest threats, Hector was terrifying and was pretty much the only one to beat Ursula's GHB event. To this day I've been using the same Jeorge I got in 2017 because I thought "Perfect Shot" means he's strong. Also have Lon'qu and that free female Corrin.

man is been so long! I never thought the game will make it this far, and it's kinda scary to think how much more time is going to keep going because I can't stop playing it

Thinking back to the days when I tried getting Corrin but was getting like 5* Mathilda... I remember back then there was a very dedicated Jacob player who foddered every dagger to him (can't remember who it was but I hope they're doing well ww)

Ive been playing for about 4 and a half years, and this crazy mobile game actually did educate me on just how big FE's legacy is and all its Main games. I started out in Awakening and even though i knew Marth and Roy from SSBM, i had no idea about the rest of the games in between. It definitely has helped me appreciate the series a lot though. But Ive always been concerned about what will happen once they put every OG FE character into the game. Regardless its been a fun ride and i love seeing my favorites (Robin) getting some cracked skills and alts.

I always tried to summon on Thracia banners because I wanted to support by showing my orb spending on those banners. To see its 21/56 characters, its kinda sad. I am always hype for Thracia banners, and its sad that the last banner might be a Thracia banner but with Genealogy imposters. So it might be the only Thracia banner until book 9 or something. ;;

Where did you get the chart at the beginning of the video showing which characters are or aren't present?

What is interesting and probably should have been stated, that not all of the original release heroes were actually playable by release. I mean aside the Emblian characters, but characters like Zephiel, Camus or Xander, despite being there from the beginning, still took quite some time until there GHB was released an with that they became playable. And which I think is also funny, it only took one month until the first alts (Spring Chrom, Lucina and Camilla) and with that also somewhat the first pseudo alt hell unit (Spring Xander) and only three month until the first real alt hell character for a very, very long time with Bridal Charlotte.

2:33 i honestly didnt mind that ike wasnt there at the beginning. The banner drop with ike was so hype, surviving the Ikeless months for that anouncement trailer was soooo worth it. These days i dont get as hyped anymore when a new main lord joins the roster, but back in the day... maaaaaaaaaaan.

I remember first playing FEH a month after it came out and using a 4 star Merric on my main team that felt very strong, then the month after getting a 5 star of him as my very 1st followed by Linde, who I both immediatly threw on my main team, and honestly it felt like fate and I've used Merric on my main team ever since, the linde eventually got replaced, but OG Merric's still there and has never left this whole time.

I was here almost at the start. And I said almost, because at that moment it was hard to get it to work. There were too many users of something. Originally I start with a tablet and during this years I have changed my phone once to keep playing this game. I even start using a cell phone only to play the game.

Niles hasnt gotten a new alt since year 1, I hope now that we're at a point where old Fates characters are getting good new alts (Valentines Leo!) that means Niles can finally get something new I love the guy but Id happily use something other than his armored halloween alt by now

Imo Darros and Fuga are not in alt hell. Darros is a pirate and Fuga is from the wind tribe. Kinda weird for them to be considered that but I also get why to an extent.

i dunno i think they knew what they were doing with the stats they were closer to the original from their game

I mean the ike thing isnt questionable. Frankly the most obvious answer. Money. They build the hype, and release him later on. His banner to this day is still the top grossed banner FEH has ever released. Him being at launch wouldnt have that effect unless EVERYONE acted like that one player who spent $2k just to get a single a Hector

Leaving Ike out on launch I think was a smart move because when he was finally added to the game it really felt like a big deal. It may have been strategic to use him as a hype advertisement to draw players in a while after release

I have zero Idea why Reinhardt was a shoo in for Thracia representation. nobody played fe5 (or even could) and unless he's infamous in the japanese community for some reason I don't understand

FeH is a guilty pleasure for me because I play it because I like to get the characters, but also FEH is a complete defanging of FE. Games since Awakening don’t delve too much into the political narratives or even really have that satisfying character narratives, aside from FE3H so I guess the series has had the same energy for a while now, but Fire Emblem feels like it’s trying very hard to be marketable, and FEH is the obvious pinnacle of that, what with there being a gatcha and sexy outfits and fun costumes for all these veteran soldiers and political leaders to go around killing each other in. And I find it impossible to actually care about the game’s story on a thematic basis, I only care out of curiosity, but it’s thematically hollow. I think it’s obvious IS will milk FE until they are unable, but honestly as much as I enjoy some things about FEH, I think a lot of us would just straight up be better without it, mostly because it’s a gatcha.
