This story was the one that should have come to light. The Carol Danvers of the origin is a good character and one of my favorites.

When I was a kid collecting comics My heroes were not Earth heroes. My heroes were guardians of the Galaxy , Nova, Adam warlock and my very favorite Captain marvel. I grew up on Captain marvel he was one of my favorite heroes of all time watching this video kind of makes me sad to hear how he died again but thank you so much for bringing those memories back to me.

One of the most disrespectful things the MCU had done was their introduction to Carol Danvers. Instead of a human being with issues that she could have struggled and solved, she was made to be an empty vessel of Kree propaganda and trapped between Kree vs Skrull conflict. She's amnesiac. She's not allowed to achieve independence at the end of the movie because she had to force herself to help the fleeing Skrull refugees. Sigh... it's such a missed opportunity.

Wow this was much better than the MCU film...

Wow, you can't fit all this into a 2hr movie and to try to do the full reveal would be like 48hrs of non stop movie material that no one would sit through. Are you so thick as to think anyone could do this character justice in 2 hrs? No they cannot, they made the MCU to introduce the character in a basic format just as they did with Spiderman, Thor, Iron man and the rest. I have all the comics and grew up reading them as they released and I can say the movies while nowhere near perfect are good for just the raw idea and entertainment.

Compared to her times as Warbird, Binary, and currently Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers has only used the name Ms. Marvel for a very short time(only 9 years IRL). The current Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, will probably keep using the name for even longer.

Monica Rambeau had the Captain Marvel mantle before Carol Danvers way back in 1982. The first Captain Marvel was the Fawcett Character now known as Shazam. In order: Fawcett Captain Marvel Captain Mar-Vell Monica Rambeau / Photon Phyla-Vell Genis-Vell Noh-VarrCarol Danvers Even the Dark Avengers Captain Marvel had the mantle before she did.

@@mangamegs he left at some point when he realized they weren't heroes. I don't know of further stories with him. As for the Dark Avengers Ms Marvel there were two: Moonstone (Karla Soften) which had further stories with the Thunderbolts and there was Superia which wore the costume for a short while. As far as I know Superia hasn't appeared in a story in a while.

My theory as to why Rogue still has some of Miss Marvel's powers, is cause they are Kree based.

I'm pretty sure Rogue lost them at some point. I don't remember when exactly did she lose them, but I surely remember seeing her vulnerable, being wounded pretty badly in a battle, unable to fly. And it surely wasn't before their first encounter. She now has Wonder Man's powers though. I think... Unless she managed to lose them recently too and I'm not aware. :"D

Funny how the first and second Ms Marvels had problem fathers. The first a chauvinist who wouldn’t respect his daughter for what she was, the second far too strict and demanding. Neither ever made any effort to improve his relationship with his daughter or realise how his unhealthy attitudes were so damaging.

One of the few Marvel comic-series I followed up was their Captain Marvel. I always liked Carol better than Una.:-) I was surprised to find years later that Carol Danvers had become Ms.Marvel...and then Captain Marvel!

God, avengers #200 sucked, even if you ignore the whole can of worms that is Marcus.

Moral irresponsibility aside, I though it 200 was rather generic. It really went to show how dramatically and emotionally compelling Avengers Annual #10 was.

Avengers # 200 was inconsistent with Ms Marvel's history. Modok had previously tried to brainwash Ms Marvel using a device which considerably increased his mental powers and failed, in part because of Carol's dual Human / Kree personality. Hecate (a goddess or perhaps an Eternal) also had considerable mental powers failed to control her. Marvel Comics completely ignored this aspect in Avengers #200. Somehow Marcus succeeds with no explanation. In Avengers Annual # 10: The Ambush by Rogue made no sense because Ms Marvel had a sixth sense that warned her of impending attacks, which they completely ignored. No explanation for this, they could have had Destiny along and claim her ability to see the future was causing interference with Danvers ability, but no explanation for this was given. When Rogue had Ms Marvel's powers she didn't have the premonition power either. In the second Civil War, when Danvers trusts an Inhuman with a precognition power, there was no mention that she has/had that power in the past. One would think that her having a similar power at some point would have influenced her decisions but no mention of her precognition powers were mention. They could have an instance where her precognition powers contradicted the Inhuman's precognition power but they didn't mention it. Lazy writing. When there was the Skrull invasion some years back, they could have fixed those issues by revealing that Ms Marvel had been replaced by a Super Skrull and that was the Ms Marvel that been captured by Marcus and whose powers were stolen by Rogue. The Skrull interloper wouldn't have had Ms Marvel's premonition power because they were unaware of it. Which would have made Binary a Skrull. They didn't take that opportunity.

She was on Donahue with a man in sunglasses. She was behind a screen and you could only see her silhouette (but we could tell who it was). His "junk" was severed during a sexual encounter with Ms. Mavel. The show was about having sex with super powered beings and the tragedies that occurred.

Captain Mar Vel should had been 1 of the greatest characters & Publications the company ever produced. Lousy writing & no creativity is what doomed the Kree Captain

I got no problem with her character in the comics or in the MCU, but for me Captain Marvel is Billy Batson. Why didn't you add the details of what she did to Rogue when she got her powers back.
