    Judy your work is so intuitive.... its fun to your process and to see what you will do, but I bet its difficult to "teach" someone how to be intuitive. I found myself thinking, "I could never pull that off" lol. ;)

    Thank you Judy. I appreciated knowing more about using gesso not only to create tooth to the paper but also as another medium or colour to overlay. A useful lesson in composition and contrast. Definitely good to get in touch with that inner 4 year old.

    What kind of paper do you like for an exercise like this? How do you avoid buckling? Looks so fun and playful!

    I just use 110gsm sketchbook paper, sometimes it does curl a little, but I glued these exercises into my sketchbook which keeps them flat.

    Judy,dear...what is thst marvelous rubber scraper? I've never seen one before. Is this a hardware store type of tool? Perhaps for a wallpaper hanger? I'd love yo find one! Thoroughly enjoying your videos..I'm a member of Loiise Gletcher's ArtTribe Community!🌿

    It's called a Colour Shaper. You should be able to buy it at your local art supplies store.
