Fantastic! Can’t imagine how many times I’ve walked past it from New Inn to grifithstown and went there several times doing my fire fighter badge in scouts 😀

Thanks so much for uploading this film. It's a little gem. I used to walk down this road from Griff to play football at the Polo Grounds in New Inn in the 1980s. How wonderful to see it without Girlings!!! I even showed it to my brother who commented on how the red paint actually is RED paint. Brilliant. Pooler am byth!

I know this is a bit later but by all means do so - the video belongs to the station anyway having been rescued from a clear-out at the stores when it was located there, cheers, Nic

Monmouthshire was not in Wales when this film was shot. In 1974 Monmouthshire (original county) was moved into Wales - sad day

@@paulmatthews2870 Monmouthshire was always an unequivocal part of Wales both culturally and politically. For administrative purposes only, the assize circuit was appended to that of the English judiciary. Monmouthshire as a single entity became Gwent in 1974 before subsequently splitting into five authorities. Cymru am byth!
