This is the best You Tube Bali travel guide I found. Excellent job, guys. Just a suggestion: the production value could be improved (microphone, better background). But this is head and tail the most informative guide I’ve found.

Thanks @@kevinrazban8906! A rule of traveling while filming/producing is adaptation. On this day we didn't have access to a nice background and we had to deal with a little bit of echo due to location but we were forced to adapt. The focus for us is, and has always been, informative videos. We'll worry about making it look pretty and sound nice later on. For now our biggest concern is helping other travelers out 😃

hi there.. legian is not denpasar. legian is a part of badung district ( legian, kuta, seminyak, nusa dua, canggu, petitenget, kerobokan ). while denpasar is capital city for bali province. 😊😊 btw ur vid really good 😊😊

I just found you on KZread. As someone who goes to Bali 3 times a year and has a decent command of Bahasa Indonesia. I have to say your video is dead on. From what apps you will need, money exchanging advice, bring TP with you when you travel, to telling the taxi driver to turn on meter, your advise is the same as I give to people. It's 2023 but Kudos on this Bali video. I have been to Bali so many times and I still find this video useful. Definitely one of the must see before you visit first-time tourists in Bali. Both fo you seem so comforting, knowledgeable and friendly.

as a balinese i think this travelling guide is awesome,, love it,, for when to visit, if i can add something, u shud come to bali at local event is happen like annual bali art festival or penggrupukan. at penggrupukan (happen couple day ago) u will see ogoh-ogoh festival all around the island but denpasar have greatest event so make sure u check it. in next day u will experience silence day called Nyepi, all public area closed literally whole island shuts down so some ppl maybe see it boring but pls respect it. others event u can check it at google. hope u all enjoy ur stay in bali,, pls come again to our island,, :)

@@IntAffair Not sure who Vu is but if we see them we will say hello ha ha. Btw one question.... when you rent scooters do you lock them when you run into stores or visit natural areas? I know you can lock the steering but is it common to do anything else.

@@benmiles8161 😂 Vu is the owner of Saigon Street Eats and who we went on the tour with! We never locked them but if you are worried, some rental places will include a chain and lock. You can ask them what they suggest when you rent the bike 😃

I travel to, and around the many islands in Indonesia routinely and found your recommendations and information spot on. PLEASE, anyone planning to travel to Bali, start here! I even learned some things I didn't know. I love how you started with the practical considerations. Outstanding and valuable information, presented by two people who really are trying to educate and not simply entertain. Well done :) I hope you do a video on Menjangan some time...it is a beautiful area on Bali, with few tourists. The diving and nature preserve are spectacular. The endemic deer that live on the beach and wade into the water are fun to watch. From my experience, here are a few more random considerations for traveling to Bali... -travel insurance: If you are older, have any health considerations, make sure to purchase trip insurance with an evacuation benefit. My spouse dislocated his hip on a SCUBA diving trip and had the Dr. not been able to re-set his hip, evacuation to Singapore was a real possibility. -if you have to visit the Dr. in Indonesia, make sure to bring cash for payment...though I believe BIMC takes credit cards. Your health card from home won't be accepted. You should expect to pay before treatment and seek reimbursement when you get home. Treatment for dislocated hip was $700 (a bargain, compared to US costs). -tropical conditions can quickly turn small cuts and scrapes turn into systemic infections. I always bring small tubes of Neosporin and Benadryl. Visit your travel medicine department (my health plan includes this service) and tell them where you are going. They can give you Cipro, antibiotics etc. for common travel related illnesses. -Bring small gifts from your home country for the lovely people you will meet. -Respect for cultural practices requests menstruating women not to enter temples...and take heed the advice to bring tampons! Especially if you need S or U. They are not sold here. -Be the first morning shopper at a store and negotiate for "morning price." This brings good luck to the operator, who will say, "good luck for you, good luck for me" while touching the money to the items in the store. -1L alcohol in plastic bottles, purchased at home can safely travel in checked luggage.

planning a trip in September. Great advice; one of the better among the rest. Much appreciated.

I travel to Ubud, Bali every year for two weeks and have been doing so for years. This is one of the best videos on Bali I have seen. There is a lot of info here that will make a persons visit much easier. The info on what to do during an earthquake needs a little updating, having served on the earthquake preparedness program for California let me suggest a couple of better ideas: If outside or in a restaurant or store get somewhere away from buildings and kneel down on one knee, keep you head on a swivel in all directions watching for fallen debris. If inside your hotel or motel sit in the door way with you legs around the door frame, this is the strongest part of the room, keep you head on a swivel. Once the quake stops get out as fast as you can, but keep your head on a swivel in every direction. Don't try to run or drive during an earthquake because the ground is moving in ways you never thought possible. Now, the sad part. I have been in Ubud during earthquakes and volcanic eruptions rescue response is very slow so help as many people as you can.
