6:37 "I'm hearing a strange laughter"🤣🤣
No sooner does Carol get her first line of dialogue out then we hear a woman in the audience laughing like a cackling hen. And the chicken laugh just keeps recurring. Later during the sketch Carol ad-libs about "strange laughter" and you just know she means that lady in the studio audience. Too funny.

The cackling lady spoiled it, didn't it...glad I wasn't the only one to notice how much it intruded...😢. Even Carol referred to it..... Love Carol and the team : so many lovely shows, to dip into here.😊. Love from England. 😊🇬🇧💕🇺🇲💕🌎🌿

This was a rare occurrence to see Vicki make a random joke and not only crack up Carol but herself as well😁 Vicky is such a comedic legend and a true treasure!

I knew he looked familiar. What first came to mind is Columbo, but when when someone here mentioned Wild Wild West it brought me back. I loved that show.

@@koen8185 Yes. The episode that you're referring to was in the first season of "Columbo." The title of that episode was "Suitable for Framing." The first season was broadcast in 1971. I have the first season on dvds. He was awesome in that show!

The actor in that first scene was Ross Martin who starred in the campy series Wild, Wild West. He died too young and was a very talented actor - as was Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, and Harvey Korman.

I had a feeling that's who it was! All I can remember is that he played Artemis Gordon in Wild Wild West. My dad loved that show, and since he controlled the TV channels when he was at home,I had to watch it also. One tv per household as it were. So what dad watched, we watched.

@@davhuf3496 It's a word that really means something that is meant to appeal to homosexuals, but which has been misused like crazy for decades to mean anything outre or kitschy, like the 1960's "Batman" T.V. series, for instance.
I watched General Hospital for many years! This is a cute spoof of the show! Carol Burnett is playing the part of Monica! This is one of my favorite shows based on one of my favorite ❤soaps. Thank you!

This show was done before a live audience. Any show that needs a laugh track probably isn't funny to begin with

I can't tell if this is a compliment or an insult. Seeing nurses (that is, people who work in the medical field) stuff balloons into their pants and dance during a global lockdown isn't the same thing as watching people whose job it is to be entertaining.
All I needed was to see Tim C coming up the corridor, sedative in hand- skip skipping along…… 😂

Not a problem at all; as you noticed, they ran with it! I remember your own (your very own) Ronnie Barker playing a doctor in a sketch when an audience member let out a laugh like that, and he said, "I'll take that out for you later, sir."

Our Tommy Cooper had a " cackler", and he got more " mileage" out of the sketch by stopping, looking up and to the side, as if to say, " Who was that ?" ...either the same time, or another time, he quipped, " I knew you were here , but I didn't know where you were sitting..." 🇬🇧💕🌎😊⭐💕🇬🇧

He was so loved, so funny....☺️🇬🇧 We are so lucky with the modern technology, to be able to find such cheerful , uplifting old shows : I've found them so helpful against the pandemic, and the Ukraine war, and the cost of living crisis, the huge hike in electric prices, professional folk having to use food banks, isolation, depression, strikes, the national debt, and countless other stresses ! Thank you , You Tube for keeping so many treasures here for us . 🇬🇧☺️💕🇺🇸⭐🎼🦉🥀💕 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦💕🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🦉🇺🇦 I generally don't find the current comedians funny ( they get the "metaphorical raspberry" from me, when they get cheap laughs by using crude words...😠) But just discovered Paul Zerdin, with his ventriloquist puppets : very good ! Most likely. It's apparent my beloved Bill Murray ripped Harvey off with his Nick the Lounge singer character. All of the talk about stealling from Conway yet all I see is stealing from Harvey who is a billion times funnier in my book. I flove Harvey. Had a huge crush on him from 4 years old on.

The sketch got on. The joke is the parody hospital which wasn't supposed to be a comedy show didn't.
