Saddest post Kuya Allec Ibay can post. Salamat po my aviation friend.

Because of this music, I am reminded of my dad, who in the last week of his life, lay in a hospital bed dying, while it rained outside.He was my hero, my protector, a father who loved me unconditionally who died tragically hooked to tubes and a ventilator-unable to speak, unable to move. Its been 21 years dad and I am almost your age. I hope you are at peace wherever you are. Love forever-Sharon

My deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. Curently I'm sitting here, listening to this withtears in my eyes as my father, who has fought a long battle with cancer is now entering his last stages of life, and due to the Covid 19 outbreak and social distancing, cannot visiit him. I hope your Dad is somewhere peaceful, happy, and most of all, free of any pain and suffering.

Grief is a hard thing. Especially when it involves the death of someone close. I am in my 60s and have lost loved ones and friends over the years. It never gets easier.

Sadly, further to my original post, dad slipped away last Thursday. He was at rest, in no pain, and I like to think went 'on his terms', which I am extremely grateful for. I know time is a healer, and that I will get used to dad not being there, but not just yet.

Reminds me of my friend who was a flight instructor earning her way to work for a regional airline. She was flying a Cessna 172 with her two students. They crashed into a hillside. The NTSB never concluded a reason but said the aircraft likely stalled and lost altitude. She was a stellar pilot. I'll miss you Rebecca.

Rest in peace to those who died in 1980 flight 163 Saudia Airlines (RHU - JED). I have recently found out of this tragic accident and it shook me to the core. May those souls rest in peace.

The picture seems particularly appropriate because of the use of this piece on Allec Joshua Ibay's videos.

This seems more sad when you think of what’s going on in this world right now.

It's because there's more emotion in it. And you feel a more deep connection to it. I've heard the PMD soundtracks, mostly from the Rescue Team and Explorers series. Don't believe me? Go look up the PMD soundtracks and listen to them.

I think it has to do with a triggered in our brain, that makes it seem peaceful and calm, as other music make us happy and full of energy, but it's better to not have an answer.

I don't always read NTSB summary reports, but when I do, it's while listening to The Only Light is Gone.

This is my daily morning alarm at 5:45 am. This peaceful music wake me up with gentle and soothing, music and three minutes allows me to have gentle stretching, and a small prayer for thanking to be alive for one more day...when the rain starts, I walk to the washroom....So much peaceful yet dark.

I don't think I've ever heard such a sweet, sad, touching piece of music such as this.

Never understood how much my grandma loved me until she was gone. Called my mom every hour whenever I was sick. Followed us till we were in the car and watched us driving away, every time we were going home after a visit. Will be coming to you very soon.

Whenever I hear this song, it's sounds so emotional, and reminds me of planes. It's very great.

Reminds me of the San Diego crash, This Sept 28th was the 42nd anniversary, I live close to North Park neighborhood where PSA 182 went down after a collision with a Cessna, killing everyone aboard both aircrafts and 7 people on the ground 😔🙏🏼

You can play this music while thinking of the Titanic sinking on the early morning hours of April 15, 1912.

This is a beautiful piece, emotions poured deeply into every note and sound, with great effort and concentration. This song is very sad and heart-touching, with an army of feels ready to attack you. This beautiful piece of raw sadness made me cry. This music reminds me of something. About how the saddest people smile the brightest...I love this piece and wish that there will be more like it.

Whenever I hear this tune, planes crash in my mind . It is a beautiful melody. Thanks for sharing

When you reach an age where you realize that most - or all - of the grownups from your childhood must have passed away...and you never even knew. This song is what that feels like.

The USAir flight 427 accident video brought me here. Also, how the aftermath of the Sandy Hook shooting and other disasters plays out, and the music fits perfectly. EDIT (4/23/17): It also can go great with any Pokemon Mystery Dungeon story made by fans, as it adds so much to the more emotional/dark/heavy moments of any PMD story.

it's 20:18 at JFK airport, a MD11 flown by swissair takes off headed to Geneva. from 20:33 to 20:40 the plane expierences radio issues. at 22:10 the crew noticed a wierd odor but thought nothing of it. 4 minutes later at 22:14 they issued a "pan pan" due to smoke entering the cockpit. the next few minutes they get vectored to the atlantic ocean to dump fuel for an emergency landing. however none of the crew or passengers knew at this point that they will not make it back in time. at 22:25:40 the FDR stops recording at 22:25:41 the CVR ceases all operation aswell. seconds after seconds more and more systems start failing. before at 22:31:18 with a speed of 300 knots (345 miles per hour) Flight 111 impacts the ocean at a g-force of 350 g. if you haven't already figured it out. that oblitirated the entire plane into billions of pieces, everyone onboard was killed. it was later determined that a FIRE had caused the MD11 to go down, investigators said that this flight was doomed the moment the pilots saw the smoke. at that point the fire was already destroying the cables.

I can not listen to this. my best and only friend died while we were on our last Iraq deployment. we did four deployments together. this sounds exactly how it feels to miss him. I cant stand it sometimes.

Beautiful! I keep fighting day in, day out, go through shit, disappointments, things I can't have etc. I can't be with someone due to distance and it's put me in a downer, I feel empty, lonely and miserable. I fight on despite this. Beautiful music.
