    Thanks for making this vid. I feel that Coco right now relies on gimmicks and knowledge-checks too much. It feels like the devs couldn't decide if they wanted her to ba a pure grappler like Gief/Pot or a hybrid grappler like Laura/Ralf so they gave her a kit that has all the weaknesses of both archetypes and few of the strengths. She needs a lot of buffs to be a real character in a game with such a high power level. Too many of her tools and mechanics are extremely situational, if not outright useless (i.e. glide, j.H, burning status, etc). At the very least her asacoco follow-up should apply poison so the poison + burning status can be utilized. Maybe improve her combos to not be so embarrassing. Give her some ground or wall bounces or something. I don't even need her to be good. Just some semblance of coherence in her toolset would be nice.

    Gonna have to agree with Coco's gameplan relying too much on knowledge checks and gimmicks to outplay your opponent which I also feel like they can just lean buffs towards grab damage like the pure grappler archetypes. But yeah her kit with burning + poison status needs to have an actual status effect in her toolkit. It would make her offense even more rewarding off a grab before she slowly chips off a DoT effect. Also with glide, they need to make that shit like H-Ring Millia Strive Air Cross Up bullshit and I'll be happy 😂.l

    on oki, you can gatling 5L > 2L or 2L > 5L on block to threaten your opponent on whenever you're going to throw command grab off your light buttons (this is tic grab situation). You can also do J.L or an empty low on oki if they start becoming aware of your jab pressure. The only time you go for j.M on oki is if they're not on top of you on wakeup (you hit them with sweep) or after you cocobust them, you're trying to approach them in the air! Remember your grabs is what scares people the MOST.

    waiting for coco rework to come out first and then i'll most likely include some combos when i review her. there really isn't anything interesting to show aside from a few changes she got this balance patch.

    Yeah she's not bad but she just struggles with match ups where it can be hard to get in on top of your opponent

    Yeah after messing around today with coco and yeah as some says she's pretty decent well somewhat at least unless if your opponent can adapt fast just like my friend and 90% of the time you lose I mean it's typical of an grappler but bro I can't even do an proper 50/50 cause there's one glaring weakness she has and that's literal jumping. No joke 1 jump destroys all her kit and even with her anti-air grab it just has an hard time getting it and if you say I'm skill issue sure but ffs my friend main's aki that fcker with an stand and detachable hair I can't do shi unless if I do an 50/50 and even with that a simple crouch counters her "fire" and if I do her roll or raptor grab it's so readable that even if at the earliest I can possibly spam a 0.1 jump just destroys it overall and even with that her grabs aren't even confirmable after wake up I get grabbed first which is dude seriously as long as they jump even for a bit you can't do an grab. Not to mention her Special grab skill can't even do her grab like unless if I'm doing this bs wrong for whatever reason every time it always whiffs and again please correct me if I'm wrong but it has no 0.1 second invincibility frame and will lose to most ults on an ult fight and yeah I've been beaten to a pulp by my fighting game partner but still dude she needs an bit of an buff at least add an pseudo air grab or make it so that as long as the grab hits the body she can do her throw. Because me using her with my friend that knows how to adapt fast I can't pressure with an 50/50 literally either it's an fire or cart wheel/raptor grab no mid stuff to punish crouching, raptor and cart wheel too readable, me trying to do an "potemkin buster" whiffs for whatever reason and I get punish hard, I do an grab nope I get counter grab, I do an ult nope missing most of the time despite being at face first literally close to kissing. Genuinely sorry for the rant but just adjust the hitbox or body is allowed to be grabbed then I get that as an win in my books. Cause trying to be unpredictable became useless despite doing mind games as long as the 50/50 of the grab isn't an issue if it's just jumped then there's no point at all especially with the grab easy whiffable and again no mid or overhead to counter an crouching opponent not to mention no 0.1 invincibility frame on the grab for the metered one heck even the cart wheel one when attacked it makes sense but man.

    have to agree that coco struggles with dealing with people the air but it's not totally impossible. her game plan relies a lot on gimmicks that you need to anticipate off on and mix your opponent with strike/throw pressure on oki. also whiffing your grabs you need practice the timing when to grab after your opponent recovers out of hitstun ; that's why i mentioned tic grabs help land command grabs easier which is universal for all fighting games. cart wheel is meant to be fast and catch your opponent off guard which they just buffed and idk what to say about raptor but it's a shittier version of hammerfall lmfao. for overheads you just have to rely on jump normals which they just buffed dragon glide so give that a try! Keep practicing friend and it'll all be rewarded with effort 🙏

    @@wagqubu true but still 95% of the time when I play with my friend who main's aki I just can't do anything honestly which is why I'm excited for the "rework" they planned on the patch notes because as it currently stands too gimmicky and even with the pokes she's having a hard time which just made me think as one mention before on regards of 2D fighting games she's both an main grappler and hybird which she has weakness but then after playing tekken 7 I got the notion that she was suppose to be an king/armor king type character in a way because if she can combo then you're pretty much good. But honestly because of the BS characters on the game and the janky hitbox (seriously I have the perfect read yet it whiffs for whatever reason at this point it's either the game or my eyes deceiving me with massive skill issue) I'll just wait at the next major patch. Too many good characters good against coco not saying it's not possible it's more like you going through an mind field tip toe and wearing an blind fold where you can see with half transparency. You can dominate, you can read but as long as they see the animation and set ups one slip and you're screwed and yeah I just hate facing Aki at this point because of my friend rekting me hard that character is bs cause of the stand set ups and the long range with no counter to her "good boy" "bad boy". She's good at all ranges which is just insane can't even get a fighting chance even with the set ups right here. Which is great video but yeah I'll come back to this game if they either fix the janky hit box or have an super armor property to some of her moves or heck an air grab move for her, can't believe Botan has an dedicated Air grab while the Grappler doesn't it's just doesn't make sense.

    ​@@guized7475 Don't blame you for hating the Aki match up with Coco. She just feels too underwhelming as a grappler against the current roster since she doesn't have the tools to cover up her weaknesses. Also yeah, hopefully her rework actually gives her a mechanic to work with instead of having to rely on collab or giving up collab to burn star meter for your high dmg combo.

    Wide Coco (22S) can be used to dodge projectiles on screen after the startup but it's main use is for canceling your 5H, 2H, or 3H after on hit/block to make yourself safer after your combo. You can also use wide coco as a cancel mid combo to recover faster to follow up with another hit for the combo.
