Thankfully he was able to return to them at the end of this series. Though it's too bad that he never managed to get ahead in life; at least not in the way he had hoped for (snicker).

It's funny when you realize Ryo's voice actor here (Also in the DM:The Birth OVA) is the same guy who voices Scar in FMA, and Luigi in the old Mario film from '86 (The one with Toru Furuya as Mario, and the one to first show the current color pallete of Peach and Bowser)
