For me, Amouage “Opus XIV: Royal Tobacco, Nishane “Fan your Flames” and Orto Parisi “Terroni” will always be in my collection and I will buy full bottles of those till I die. Close follow-ups are Argos “Triumph of Bacchus” and Xerjoff “Naxos” .

So agree with Carlisle and Oajan. I got a sample of 40 Knots and yes, i agree. It's extremely good. Probably my favorite fresh fragrance right now. If i ever come across a well priced bottle, bong bong. Will snatch it with the quickness. Le Lion is also the BOMB. Really animalic, hence the name. I feel like it's a more rugged bad man version of Dior Homme Parfum.

For me personally: PDM - Layton and Herod Xerjoff: Naxos and Uden Overdose Amouage: Reflection man Initio: not a big fan of brand but if I had to choose one it would be Oud For Greatness Tom Ford: Ombre leather edp, Tobacco Vanille Creed: it isn't what it used to be so nothing Memo Paris: African leather, Argentina Kilian: Sacred wood, Angels share MFK: Grand Soir Nishane: Hacivat Profumum Roma: Acqua di Sale

I´ve recently bought Acqua di Parmas Oud as my second niche and I am really happy I did! Don´t overspray this one tho, that would do more harm than good.

PDM Haltane is my signature scent. Sedley for spring/summer & Carlisle for fall/winter. I need to get my nose on Oajan again.

i love mfk, oud satin mood extrait. Lasts for over 24 hours on my skin somehow, absolutely addictive smell with the jammy rose. I've noticed something though, my nose just doesn't pick up oud smells. Oud for greatness smells super plain to me for whatever reason, so when oud pairs with other fragrances as a supporter is where i like it the most like in the aforementioned satin mood extrait. Also love haltane by pdm, carlisle is right up there too. Initio it has to be paragon, about 12 hours on my skin and i absolutely love the plum note. Going to full bottle paragon and either satin extrait or haltane here in a month

What do you think of the Designer Shaik line? Specifically Sochi Onyx. I’ve recently picked it up and it smells pretty good

Black Iris and ADP leather are two on my wishlist, have enough scents and don't ever feel the need to move up to niche. It's just bang for buck. Designers and clones do the job well. That said I do have TF OL (not really niche) and Mancera aoud lemon mint

Trajan, from Electimuss, is a really close fragrance to BR540. Definitely worth a try.

I think it’s great, but you really have to love that style to make the full bottle purchase (definitely try first)

Anyone can say what they want and I will respect it but Creed Aventus is and always will be my all time favorite until they come out with an intense version lol. That dna just works for me. Tom Ford Oud Wood is a close runner up. To my nose, those scents are the most pleasing.

Im currently trying to decide between Parfums de Marly Percival and Xerjoff 40 Knots. Percival is definitely more my style but I want an everyday fragrance for the summer, but one that still performs ok for the fall. Which one would you guys recommend?

I currently have both fragrances. 40 knots will smell more high-end than Percival, But Percival feels more versatile from a situational standpoint.

I own a sample of 40 Knots and a full bottle of Percival. I think you can wear Percival all year around due to its really good performance and the spicy and sweet notes it also has. I was a bit disappointed by 40 Knots to be honest (sorry Omar 😅). It reminds me of fresh laundry. I almost only smell soapy sweetness. The salt and aquatic notes are barely noticable for me. Maybe because my parents have often been buying hand soap with seawater aroma in the past. That is probably why I find it quite underwhelming. The performance of 40 Knots is great and if you like the DNA I think 40 Knots fits better into fall and winter than Percival.

That’s not considered niche.* *A niche fragrance is strictly from a brand whose only commercial offering is to produce perfumery. Nothing else.* *So Moschino who are a fashion brand are not niche. Bentley who are primarily a car manufacturer amongst so many other things are not niche. Even the likes of Commes de Garçon, Costume National, Tom Ford etc. These are not niche perfume houses.*
