Ikrrrrrr. I dont have completely hooded eyes or whatever, but my eyeliner sitch is similar, oof. But like Ive got extreme hooded eyes or nothing, which like you can have in betweenish standalone issues, but then apparently everyone had hooded eyes. Nobody addresses this different problem. My problem is my crease goes way down below my eye, so like snatched eyeliner kinda isnt a thing. I saw some kpop idols wear some eyeliner that dips down below the crease (on my it barely avoids it but on them its like way down) and swoops up again, like a u shape. Just for show or the aesthetic or something, bc they can do whatever eyeliner they want, but yea that was useful now i do it like that. I have to find my makeup tips from people not sharing them lol rip @@TaMarAaQ

eyeshadow + angled brush, no matter how many times I’ve tried to stray away from it, is just always the best and most flattering way to do (my) eye makeup. I did it for years and stopped and just recently I’ve gone back to it because it always looks beautiful and has never ever let me down in ways that liquid eyeliners or gel/pencils have. love it.

I had no one to look up to or teach me how to put eyeliner on my hooded eyes. I have the smallest eyelid space and this is exactly how I’ve been doing my eyeliner for years with brown eyeshadow! I feel like dark eyeshadow is the best for beginners and I wish knew this at a younger age. The liquid liners don’t work for me cause it dries up on my creases and messes it up and you can see it when I close my eyes. Liquid eyeliner works for people that have large and wide eyelid space. But eyeshadow works for anyone and it blends so easily and looks more natural. I’m going to watch this on repeat so you get more views and this reaches younger girls with hooded eyes 🫶

This is so real. For so long, I struggled with eyeliner cause so many liner tutorials were using liquid eyeliner. It is so much easier to control a liner made by an angle brush + eyeshadow or eyebrow powder or eyebrow pomade.
I'm a grown a** adult who never had anyone teach me how to do makeup at all. Eyeliner used to be the bane of my existence. Would ruin my eyes and not be able to fix it so I consistently would waste all my makeup scrubbing it off and giving up. This tip is incredibly helpful for me and I really appreciate it. Thank you
her facial features is so perfect ❤
you're STUNNING but one thing: i don't think your eyes are hooded, that is just the crease! hooded eyes have a full flap of skin that sort of hangs over the crease line. so if you can see along the eyelid fold made by your eyeball then they're not hooded. idk how to explain it but hooded eyes have actual hoods. it's a huge insecurity of mine so i'm jealous of ur beautiful eyes!!! i subscribed immediately

Thank you! I've been saying this for YEARS! I started doing makeup in 2022 and people kept asking me how I was so good at doing winged liner if I was a beginner but like. I was using a stiff pencil liner to make a faint guideline and then an eyeshadow on a small angled brush to go over it. 95% of the time I'd mess it up but no one would be able to tell cuz it'd be blended just enough to hide the mistake. You can't do that with a liquid liner. Doing it this way helped so much to figure out where the lines go on my eyes for different types of wings and how they look on me. This, in turn, made it easier for me to use liquid liner, though even then I'll do the pencil-eyeshadow thing to sketch out the wings.. Doing eyeliner like this is also super versatile; the liner can be as soft or as bold as you like, as fuzzy and as sharp as you like. To make it darker or to make sure it doesn't smudge, just use a soft pencil first, clean up the edges, and then go over it with powder eyeshadow, setting it. The more you layer it up the darker it is.
Her skin has so much character She's gorgeous honestly 😮
Gorgeous! We need more hooded eyes tutorials like this!

Yeah this is hard to swallow as someone with hooded eyes. I mean there is a small part there for her where the crease comes down across where the eyeliner wing goes. Maybe this gave her a bit of trouble and she compensated for it by using hooded eye techniques. But to me having hooded eyes isn’t defined by whether winged eyeliner works easily or not. She’s stunning and talented though.

She has a very slight hooded lid. It won't stop you from seeing the eyeshadow, but it will keep the line from being perfectly straight... not a big deal. On another note, I really like this tip, I can't wear liner (I get imprints on my lids from it), so this might actually work for me
The problem is not in choosing the product, but rather the problem is that the eyes are not the same when we put the eyeliner hahahahaha 😂😂

The superciliary arch can be slightly more prominent on some people, but if the skin that covers it does not go over the eyelid to reach the eyelashes, then it is not hooded eyes. It is just that your features around the eyes are more "profound" if I may say. Which is cute btw, but not hooded. Daniel Craig has actual hooded eyes, you can check to see the difference.

@corsair1

@@sweetmissirish She has profound features, so maybe with age she will have the skin right under her eyebrows fall on her eyelids to the point it reaches the eyelashes. Age can do that with the skin that loses its firmness. And that would be hooded eyes (because it makes a hood with the skin). But for now, she doesn't. Not even slightly. You can clearly see her eyelids = not hooded. I don't really understand why you would want her to have hooded eyes, and I don't want to disturb you with the fact that she doesn't have those. But she just doesn't so...

yeah, here eyes are far from hooded, I find that often ppl who have slightly more deep set eyes mistake theirs for hooded, having the eye deeper in the eyesocket usually "eats up" part of the lid and makes eyeliner harder too, but for different reasons
Omg thanks for bringing it up. This is exactly how I learned to do my eyeliner easily and very beginner-friendly. I’ve spent years trying to use liquid eyeliner, doesn’t matter what kind of tip I use I still couldn’t do it right. It’s a lot harder to use the liquid ones especially if you have hooded eyelids. I still use this same technique to this day.
That eyeliner look suits you so much. Like it was MADE for you

why she is so beautiful
I feel like people use the phrase hooded eyes too often now. Like any eye with a crease is called hooded. Typically, hooded eyes means the crease of the eye, or rather the skin above the crease of the eye, touches the lash line at some point. That’s all :) beautiful makeup and amazing tips!
This is a great tutorial, but this is not a hooded eye shape. She simply has a creased eyelid. It’s different than a hood. Hooded means there is no visible lid space between the crease and lashes. The tutorial might work on *some* people who do have hooded eyes, but just for the record, if your eye is shaped like this, you have a typical creased eyelid.
Your skin is gorgeous
This is a must try. Can we also mention how adorable this young lady is
