In my personal opinion. None of the other spinoffs can relate to this masterpiece. Everything was great and I really wished that we had more of TOWL but the end was wonderful!! This show had everything we as fans wanted❤I'm going to miss this😢

​@RickGrimes_TV I've been a TWD fan from Day 1 when Rick woke up to this crazy world. However, this series TOWL is the best one to me in the TWD universe and MY favorite - no fake fan here. Some may be new fans and that's okay. The TOWL may entice others to watch the other shows. That's cool. There is room for new and old viewers to the fandom. This show met and exceeded my expectations. I'm glad Mom and Dad are back home with the kids. 😃

@@pjthrand2173 you're not wrong in the sense where if youre a day one rick fan and the sole ending you wanted from him was him reuniting with his family and his wife and having the happy ever after ending. While im NOT mad at it, there is much more to the story than that, and you cannot tell me otherwise. Rick is exactly as you said, the START of the entire series. Back when the series is was a thriller, survival show. This show was infact what they told us it would be, an epic love story. I knew that coming into it, but me personally I just really really felt like there shoudl have been alot more closure to his story as a whole, his story did not start with just michonne, that was the current part of his story at the time where he left the show during the bridge. So if you think about it as closing rick and michonnes story? Great job. But ricks story as a whole with everyone else still alive in the universe? not even close, im praying for some cameos which I wouldnt be suprised to see. all and all wanted way more than what we got, but glad his character got a happy ending which is hard to find these days.

@RickGrimes_TV It might seem like it fell flat, but I can guarantee it's because they have more planned for Rick n Michonne. Extremely plausible that they agreed to do at least one more episode, most likely on Daryl Dixon, for a final reunion. I mean, the only reason Carol went to find Daryl is because Rick came back, right? Has to be.

There’s only one thing left. Daryl has to come home to his brother.

nah.. not a heart made of stone, but more a head full of sense. judith was 12 when TWD finished, meaning RJ was at least 8 during the same time. by the time michonne leaves to find rick, 6 years have past already (said from michonne herself before she goes looking for him), so at this point judith is 10 while RJ is 6. by the time TWD ended on s11e24, judith is 12 and rj is 8, & we spend a whole year in towl e1 seeing how rick transformed, so how do the kids look exactly the same age during ricks return if michonne was out there for 7+ years looking for rick? that would make judith nearly 18 years old while rj is coming up to 14, yet in this episode, they look exactly the same age as they did in s11e24 of TWD. just doesnt add up to me.

They didn’t die because they were protected by the crates that were surrounding them, and they poured water on top of a flag, which kept the gas from getting them

I think they're waiting on the feedback and the viewing numbers to come in. I see them appearing in the spin offs, Andrew said he would play Rick forever if he could. His kids are older, so he has more time to film, and Danai can juggle multiple projects like she did when she was in Black Panther, if they are filming in Georgia.

This episode (and the whole series, tbh) was a love note to Rick and Michonne, but it really felt like a love letter to the fans who have been waiting for so very long to have Rick back with Michonne, to see the end of their story. I would so love if all these spin offs come back to the main show for a one off six episode to tie it all up completely. Like they go off and do their thing, Maggie and Negan, Michonne and Rick, Daryl and Carol, and then bring them all back together for one final huzzah

Honestly, if this is the last time that we are able to see the Grimes family, I’m happy they were able to get their happily ever after❤ They more than Deserved and Earned it! This finale had me on edge nearly the entire time! That reunion was everything we’ve been waiting for and more! I’m so grateful to Andy and Danai for coming back and allowing their characters to have a full completion. I hope we do get to see them again! Maybe in a special guest appearance! 🤞🏽

Hard to believe it’s already over! We need so much more than just six episodes of these two characters!

The Finale hit all the right notes! So nice to see the whole Grimes family together again!! The only things I would've changed.. Michonne really should've used Nat's DANGER lighter to burn Jadis' notes.. And even though Rick's prosthetic hand is a symbol of his time with the CRM.. If it was me, I certainly woulda kept it. It's badass!

BEST TV SERIES EVER!!!💯💯💯 Danai, Andy & Scott did the never-done-before which is have two captivating characters individually and as a couple, who had been thru unspeakable trauma & experienced huge human losses for 13 years, surmount all that together and get to go home to their young kids who they haven't seen in many years. SO BRAVO TO OUR MAGNIFICENT TRIO👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Now waiting for them to get well-deserved awards🏆🏆🏆

Love the ending. This was all about Rick and Michonne's love. So worth seeing him with his children. I love that Rick waited behind Michonne as he was nervous meeting his children. So cute. Thanks for your reaction reviews ❤😊

Rick’s plot armor really is next level even the show itself tried to kill him off but he walked away!!

Loved all the little call backs to the flagship show so much especially last episode with Michonnes "M" necklace we met her wearing in S3. The cat was a great callback for Michonne this episode too. The stuffed bunny was a interesting one as it's now the 3rd time it's been referenced; 1st with little Lydia in the basement bunker when Alpha killed her dad and again an in the subway with Daryl when he found the note on the $ from the kids who could no longer wait for their dad. But the one that broke me was RJ using Carls words to "just believe" (he believed) 😢 Damn this show was amazing, if there's not a S2, there still HAS to be more!! The reunion with the kids was great and emotional but I NEED the reunion with Rick & Daryl!! (OH! Definitely now wonder if Carol did actually say Rick was back in his show??? HOWEVER I can't see a way Rick wouldn't be right ther with her searching for Daryl if he had returned by that time, that's his brotherrrrr!!! ❤

The finale was well done but if we could have seen a reunion between all the characters it would have been amazing. Also props to them on how they fit all that in one episode!

The only sensible way to wrap things up. After all these years, a happy reunion was the only way they could satisfyingly end it. Hope to see them again some day, but if this is it I'm happy.

Thank you Katie, it's been wonderful sharing our reactions to this show with you! The first thing i thought during that opening scene was "where the hell are they?" Of course Rick would find a romantic getaway spot to take his lady, even during a zombie apocalypse! This episode ended exactly as I hoped (although, I was convinced one of them would be dead by the end). I can see a film in the future uniting all the remaining characters for one massive threat (like the giant herd). It could be after a time jump, and we'd get to see the latest edition to the Grimes family (because we know Michonne has to be pregnant after all the lovin' in this story). They could call it TWD: Rebuilding. Looking forward to your final thoughts!!

This has been such a beautiful moment to show everything that Andrew and Danai have done together throughout their entire career in the TWD universe. And his reunion with Judith and her son was a happy ending to close his stage. And now he will leave it to others to take care of it, while he and Michonne... live their lives as parents. Carl would be proud. What I always wanted from Rick. 😭😭❤

I think they didn't die because the explosion of grenades was local, and the gas wide spread. Michonne knew/found out water and cover is a protection against the gas. Also, not at that bit yet, don't know if you comment on it - but Rick pulls the pin on a walker soldier's grenade, and ducks down to withstand the blast. Me personally? After watching Rosita, Rick and several others miss Negan with guns repeatedly in s7/8? Carol thankfully but unexpectedly being away from any/all wars being up in Kingdom? It's the world they've built and it's certainly not based in reality, so it's up to everyone if they want to be generous and enter into the show they've decided to watch or not. For me, a 10/10 series. Thank you for your analysis, and how you've welcomed us all to share your excitement and love of their characters Andy, Danai and Scott worked so hard to bring us. Happy Easter, too :)

One thing this episode showed me, is that they can pack a lot of stuff and make it fast paced if they want to. If this were a season of TWD, this episode alone would have been half a season lol. Still loved it and the whole show as well. Had that bittersweet feeling as I did at the finale of season 11. Maybe we'll see Rick and the gang when Daryl makes it home.

I feel like you do, while being interested in the CRM that's not why I was watching the show. I wanted to see "The Grimes' Family" story in this show and I got that. Going forward they could have a season 2 where everybody in our extended Family comes home to see Rick or with the spin-off shows they can go in whatever directions they'd like to. Katie, I've loved watching TWD franchise with you over the years even when I rage-quit after they killed Carl! I still would do check-ups on the show through your Channel. It was such a great series, I loved watching your reactions. The series was well written, well acted and it gave us exactly what we wanted. I could watch Rick and Michonne till they die from old age. I'm very happy that neither of them died. If this is the last time we see them, I'll take it, don't bring them back to kill one of them. No one (NO ONE!) ever wants to see that. "You can call me dad." Had me boo hoo snot faced.

Got the end that I wanted so I'm happy. Of course I'll always want to see more of these two, but this show was wonderful.

I don't know if it's available where you are, but there was another show that aired after the finale called "The Walking Dead: The Return". It had Andy and Danai walking around the Alexandria set reminiscing about their journeys from the first time they met outside the prison fence to why they returned for TOWL, including behind-the-scenes stuff. I think it was originally released before TOWL debuted. Fun little watch if you want to see these two some more... :)

TWD Dead City takes place in 2028, roughly 6-ish (give or take years after The Ones Who Live). The Day the Global Outbreak started was August 25th, 2010. This is the TV Series Universe. The Comics Universe (which includes the comics, Novels, the Telltale Series Games, and TWD Saints & Sinners Game) Outbreak took place on July 19th, 2003. The comic ends with a 25 year jump, which means it's 2033 where the comic ends.

You put it perfectly. I get the people who are upset about the CRM being rushed. They’re not wrong. But I didn’t watch this show for the CRM. I watched it to see Rick reunite with his wife and his kids and that’s what I got. I couldn’t be happier.

There are no plans for a Season 2 of this. Daryl Dixon is slated for a second season (out this summer) and so is Dead City, both confirmed. But Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira were the least interested in filming during the show. We'll see if they come back. I did enjoy that. I hope at the end of all this, all of them are together again and if Andrew and Danai are willing to do the final of these it would be great. It's a good paycheck for all of them. Although, I think Lauren and Melissa get the short ends of the stick in the payroll departments.

I was amused when I realized that The CRM tried to pull a Padre with the kids. I found it interesting with the parallel of Negan's incarceration to Alexandria and Rick's incarceration to the CRM. Thorne's attempt to shooting Okafor in the head, leading up to the scar on his head. Jadis' attempt to shooting Rick where it grazes his head like Okafor. Thorne's parallel with having Michonne in her sights screamed SHANE. Sucks that we will not be able to witness the expression on Rick and Michonne's face once they learn of Judith almost dying from being shot by Pamela Milton. Oh BEALE, Live by the sword, die by the sword! R. I. P.

It was an incredible 6 episodes, not a minute wasted, a true masterpiece, with two absolute power house performances by two amazing actors, but hats off to the whole cast, every single one was brilliant. Not really a chick flick guy but Boy did I need that.

something else to point out is since they went under a wet fabric that made a barrier for the gas not to get through, you can also do that with smoke in the event of a house fire

I loved him in The Stepfather.

I loved the whole series. My only disappointment was that the end was a wee bit rushed. If only it had been 2 hours or another episode where we see Rick at the Commonwealth, perhaps with Morgan and Ezekiel.

Honestly I would be SUPER impressed if the powers that be let this be the end. The final moment being Rick hugging his kids. Boom. Fade to black. Beautiful. Because what’s the alternative? A little bit more, and then a little bit more… like “hey maybe Morgan walks up and then what happens” or “maybe the Grimes family moves to Philadelphia” or ugh ANYTHING ELSE… anything they do past this moment would feel wrong to me. Rick’s story is done and he didn’t have to die. Cool. The happiest possible ending.

The Rick grenade scene is only the second time ever in all of TWD Universe that I was speechless until the next commercial break was over.

I binged all 6 episodes today not gonna lie

I only wish we saw them reunite with the group and we saw their reaction to all the death that happened while they where gone especially rick ( jesus, tara , rosita , siddik that Carl saved etc ). Hopefully they do a serie where all the characters come together again to fight some final threat. Beale said the crm had many spies all over the world and in many communities maybe some of the leaders are still out there, add to that the threat of the millions of walkers and the evolving ones. We can have a great series that ties all these together and end it for good.

I really think that there is going to be a chapter 2 to the story. We still need to connect Rick to several people and have a reunion. Daryl Carol Morgan Maggie Gabriel Eugene, only if we could keep him from talking for too long lol Ezekiel Last, but not least, Negan. I love how the last episode ended by him seeing his children, and the four of them standing out in the middle of that field all just holding each other.. Andrew Lincoln actually wanted it to end that way with just the four of them. Plus Scott Gimple Did make an announcement about more spin offs, and hinted that possibly reunions could happen which we all know is a yes, but he’ll never come straight out and say anything. I was just happy that Mr. and Mrs. Grimes had their own story, which was about not giving up and how much she loved her family. Micheonne was a much better mother than Lori could have ever been

I loved this series so much and all of your reactions and this ending gave me everything I wanted. I hope they do another season or at least at somewhere somehow our group get reunited, but if not we at least know Rick got home ♥️

I’ve seen so many split opinions on this. If you watched this show knowing it was Rick’s story then you probably loved it. If you watched it for zombies and the world you probably hated it. I loved it and that finale had me UGLY cry man.

Incredible love story between Rick and Michonne, fantastic almost perfect 6 episodes. The emotion from each episode was incredible work. Thank you for always sharing your reactions with us, it always makes it feel bigger. (Being greedy i wish the CRM had more time on screen. But that’s my only complaint honestly.)

I also thought Katie will love this happy ending and I did cry.
