I love how there were hints that Rick grew up on a farm in the original series. From him getting on the horse in episode 1 and saying “it’s been a while”, him taking a liking to farming at the prison, etc. Cool that we got an official backstory to how Rick grew up.

Danai said in an interview that Scott wanted to wait till later for their reunion. I'm so glad she is writing for this show, directing and acting! She knew we needed that reunion soon.

I can't believe we have Rick MFing Grimes back!! Yes Katie he does look sexier than when we last saw those gorgeous baby blues & I didn't think that was even possible. And Michonne, our beautiful Queen, looks beautiful & bad ass. I'm so excited for this season. I thought we were only getting 3 episodes, so this is amazing. I've missed them and you reacting to them so much. Screw Valentine's Day, this is my Christmas!!

I was sat with my hands against my mouth for about 5 minutes when I realised it was Michonne. Thankyou to Danai for being the one to fight for them being reunited so early!

You can tell that they mean business in this show! And that they poured an insane amount of money into the production. I hate that it ended where it did, but it was a 9/10 for me as well. I am hoping that we get a really good HAPPY ending and nothing depressing at the end. I hope we also see Morgan eventually since he is actively looking for Rick now.

This show did a lot of things in an hour. They combined elements of The Walking Dead. Fear The Walking Dead world beyond dead city. All in multiple lines of dialogue, great start. I'm guessing next week is gonna be michonne's story and then episode 3 they pick up where this episode ended

THAT HAND SCENE JUST FROM THE START!!! Makes me wonder what Robert Kirkman first thought seeing live action Rick cutting his hand off as, if i remember correctly, he regretted cutting off his hand in the comics. Also, its so good to hear Rick drop the f bomb. I'm not particular a fan using cuss words, but with the Walking Dead, it sounds right. Pleasant to the ears.

The acting was freaking amazing when Rick and Okafor were fighting, you can feel the actors are pouring themselves into this show. We fans have been waiting a long while. It's a long shot, but Rick will go back to the Commonwealth this season.

If I even possessed an "Arse" my entire extremities would have splattered all over the couch!!!! OMG!!! I SAW THE SWORD TOO AND WENT SHIT NUTS!!!..... and then the rug got pulled out from under me as I knew it would!!!! But DAMN!!! I can't wait for next week!!!!! Love,Love,LOVED YOUR REACTIONS!!!!! This was such a stellar episode, one of the strongest opening episodes we’ve had in a while Andrew as always absolutely knocks it out the park, his emotional acting felt very real and you could feel his desperation and pain just by looking into his eyes alone And I’m so happy they decided to have the reunion at the end of this episode rather than dragging it over the series They did a good job of showing the CRM’s power and how impossible it was for Rick to escape. Also Rick dropping the F Bombs was so cool

The fact that the reunion happened in the first episode rather than milked many episodes towards the end shows that Gimple has learned his lesson not to play with the fanbase. Story and good writing over gimmicks. 😁

I watched the entire episode with a lump in my throat, trying to hold back tears, but when Rick finally gave up, to accept his new "fate," when he threw away his letters to Michonne, damn, that's when I bursted into tears, perfect episode, the narration by Andrew Lincoln was top-notch!! TWD really needed this quality of storytelling long time ago, I really hope the rest of the season can be as good as this episode
