The One with How to Sew a Toy Hammock
Today we're learning how to sew a toy hammock (or Teddy Bed as Mumzee calls them).
We're not doing the traditional netting one. Instead we like ours to be unique and fit our own personalities. So we are making a toy hammock out of cotton fabric of our choice. Woot!
In the video I said that I would put the standard measurements for the various sizes of teddy beds in the description... so here we go!
A small one like the one featured in the video was 22 inches along the two equal sides.
A medium one is 35 inches along the two equal sides.
A large is the entire width of the cotton fabric which is usually 44 inches.
If you want something larger, you might have to piece some of the fabric together. Or I suggest getting a fun vintage bedsheet with your favourite characters on it and cutting it larger because there is more width to work with. :D

I just donated my teddy bed to another little girl, last week. It was still in excellent condition and she loved it. My girl has gotten too old now (15) so she no longer wanted to have her soft teddy toys on show. She still wanted to keep them but boxed them up and stored them. We making her bedroom more grownup.
I'll definitely be making a few of these for my gaming room for my fairly large Stitch plushie collection. Awesome instructions! Very clear!
