I had a pour of this back in March at the Turkey gift shop with Bo. Was completely floored by it. Begged for a bottle. They said no. Ran back home, found it for $450 and bought immediately. No ragrets.

Russells single rickhouse CNF was amazing! I was not able to land a bottle but have had several pours and it is one of the best pours I have ever had!

I have to say I'm personally glad the price on this bottle was so high. Walked into my local spec's and the guy I talked to said that the rewards members who got calls passed on it so I had the chance. Best bottle I've ever owned by far.

My bourbon sherpa buddy has a bottle he has yet to crack and I can’t wait to try it. ProTip for those who like me will likely never encounter a bottle in the wild (let alone at SRP) - there are bottles of Kentucky Spirit that are also sourced from CN-F and that - at least in my limited experience - taste better than yer average bird.

Generations crushes this for me. CNF is well balanced and special in that way, but Generations has that “bourbon extract” thing going on like few bottles do (King of Kentucky and Coy Hill to name a few). CNF is super enjoyable but it can’t compete with that level of concentration of flavor IMO.

Took me awhile to come around on this bottle but I now place it above all of the RR13s and various store picks as the best Russell’s I’ve had.

Finally stumbled across a bottle of this in a very cool bottle shop that was selling it at MSRP. I had to grab it. I love the CNC, but even based on the neck pour of this CNF...holy crap! This is a banger!

Almost broke it! LOL. I really enjoyed this bottle last year. Was fortunate to even find it $50 under MSRP. I need to revisit it now that it's had a few months to open up.

I live in central Illinois and i was in uper Wisconsin at a woodmans supermarket and they had 2 2023 camp Nelsons i bought it for 198 i almost walked away so glad i didnt

At a bottle drop this past Saturday, a guy brought one of those for our tailgate bar. He has 4 of them. He walked into a store and found it. Turns out each store in the chain got one. So he drove to each location and bought the one they had.

South Florida ABC stores had these on the shelf for 250 plus tax. Instant buy

Stumbled into a bottle at a random store on a random day. Price tag was 299 USD before tax, so I didn't bite right away but eventually decided to buy it, lol! Nose & palate are stellar. An easy 9/10 & better than the previous CN-C release imo. The steep price is a big hindrance for me to say it's an "immediate" buy. If it was under 200 bucks then it's worth grabbing. I have both the 13 year B2 and a private select 10 year and they both are not too far off in terms of drinking experience to that of the the SR CNF. For a fraction of the price.

Really enjoyed the 13. Passed on this bottle since it was 350, and found an MSRP EHT store pick but I was definitely tempted.

This was the best thing i tasted last year. Unfortunately, I was never able to get my own bottle.

I'd like to stop by on a Friday that you're open and bring a special bottle the public doesn't know about yet. The blender knows Macaulay and speaks highly of him. It's from a Kentucky Distillery. I don't want to give it away here, but this is a great opportunity for Boubon Junkies to do a world 1st review before this brand explodes.

This was probably my favorite pour from last year.

It's definitely up there!

I've bought about 8 of these. Many have gone to friends but I've drank 2 myself. They are the BTAC of Wild Turkey. I think in a couple of years people are going to be desperate to get these.

I have this bottle. Very nice. It's in the Blanton's sftb, Stagg Jr, Taylor BP tier Not a BTAC competitor. Not quite as good as taylor or stagg jr but maybe little better then Blanton's sftb

Just got a bottle of JD 12 for Michigan liquor list price.

Easily my top bourbon of 2023. I put this in a blind with 23 GTS, 4 roses LE, ECBP C923, and generations on numerous occasions. CNF came out on top every time.

@@adonichristie4435 Lol not sure if it’s as good as a cheesy gold foil. I tried an 89 cgf and it was probably the best bourbon I’ve tasted.

I paid 399, plus shipping for it. Think it was worth it? First pour I really enjoyed it, but not sure if I'd pay that much for it again. I'd buy it next year at msrp, but I'm not paying much of a markup again for it. But maybe my opinion will change when I taste it blind...

Would love to see you compare this to Generations.

Here in OH, the high msrp killed the secondary market for it so you can get it really close to msrp

$300 is too much for any whiskey imo. That includes Springbank. Conversly there's no scotch that can compete with the $60 I spent on ECBP's or Stagg Jr's 😂 Although the Kilkerran 8yr 57.1 from 2019 is an awesome bottle!

The widest part of the bulb is 2oz in a glen I think that’s what y’all have there

My bad it was a 13th colony 15th anniversary. I did trade a double oaked for a four roses le and old fitz 19 though.

Don't care if it's this bottle, RR13, epic CN picks or 2003...Saffell bats so far above it's weight. Still findable for MSRP and for the price in a blind hits with any of these.

This is 100% true. I wouldn't say we enjoy Saffell more BUT it's an awesome bottle of whiskey and under-rated/under valued for sure. I have one bunkered. That will be a cool dusty some day too!

After having this, the people who say this is as good as a nice store pick are just filled with cope.

What happened to the dumb mosquitoes? These new ones are clever and aware.... they hide in crafty spots they don't get scared and fly up into the air for easy kill. They fly low and evade.... if you miss them on the first slap good luck ever finding it again, it's going to go hide and then wait till the middle of the night when you're asleep

That's a fair observation

This bottle has lost in every blind it has been in for me. Now it's been up against some really good bottles as it should be given it's price tag, but it is just a good normal bourbon that drinks a little hot. Every Generations and other special release turkey product is better, including wild turkey 12 year at 101 proof available for 200 online in several places. The only reason I can think of anyone raving about this bottle is because they spent a small fortune on it. It is just a slightly better Russell's pick.

For a fabulous delicious single malt scotch, yes I will happily pay $300.00. For a Bourbon? No.

Blinded this against RR13 (batch 2) and disco 11. CNF came in second. Clearly better than Disco 11, but clearly inferior to RR13
