    Good day Wes. Have a question?? When clamping glued items including things like this cabinet door. How long should you leave it clamped and allow the glue to dry??

  • @Nutswoodworking

    Hi...you can remove it from clamps after 1 hour but I suggest as much time as possible whenever you can. Thanks, Wes

    On all my furniture glue ups I grab a wet rag and wipe all the glue off before it has time to dry. This prevents problems from the wood not accepting stain while minimizing scraping or sanding to get glue off.

    Hey Wes, i asked myself, why you didn´t use spacerpieces for the cut no. 2 and 3 and so on ? Some pieces of wood at the fence, different sizes ?

  • @WoodworkingWithWes

    @WoodworkingWithWes

    Wouldn't it be easier to just move the fence as I did? Thanks, Wes

    I have a question about the center panel. You make the panel a 1/4" smaller for expansion and contraction what about the rabbit on the back side of the panel. Is it cut a little wider to allow for expansion and contraction or is it fit perfect to the rails and stiles.

  • @WoodworkingWithWes

    @WoodworkingWithWes

    The rabbit is also wide enough to allow for expansion and contraction. Thanks for watching, Wes

    I had to match some cabinet doors on a house that had these beaded panel MDF doors all throughout the house. I could NOT figure out how to recreate it. It was a real mind-f***. Given the profile of that cut, it cannot be done any other way and if you didnt know that tool existed it would really throw you for a loop. I ended up talking the owner into shaker doors!!!!!! NOW I KNOW

    Why not cut the mdf or plywood the same size as your real wood? Even thou those materials don't expand and contract with temperature, they would still fit. I'm I missing something?

    You could, but it's not necessary. If you do cut the panel smaller spacer balls will be needed to keep it from shifting and potentially rattling. Cutting the panel to full size eliminates a step, and an expense over the course of many doors.

    I have enjoyed a few of your videos, but if I may offer some constructve criticism: Your camera person either needs to hold the camera more steady or you need to mount it on a tripod. I became nauseas watching this. I would have subscribed today but could not even watch to the end of this video.

    To be honest I have seen much worse. But, I don't have a condition that makes me nauseous with that motion. Or, I may be tolerant due to traveling over the years. I traved by car, boat, airplane, and train. I don't think I would hold natural movements over someone's head though.
