Doordash driving needs to be tax free. Our expenses are immense. Not to mention gas. Or at least free car insurance 😆 Doordash needs too do more for their drivers. They are making BILLIONS.

Depends what area you live in man, I would use 2-3 sick days and try out dashing your market before you turn in your 2 week notice.. just keep in mind your very first 2 weeks of dashing you will baited with good orders. Everyday is different you rely on peoples hunger and financial situation to pay your bills. It’s not ideal, depends on the market.

Does the solo app track mileage of every delivery. I.e. pick up address and drop off address.

I’m getting overwhelmed with all the “needed apps” for gig workers. But Solo charges a fee. I think we have enough other fees as gig workers.

HI‼️ 👋🏻 😁 I've got a big 🎉 question. im on disability and i wanna start dashing, but i don't wanna go over the amount im allowed to make a month. Which i won't have that happen or do that. How do u do taxes? Because they don't deduct any, do u set momey aside? What apps do u use to help you qith write offs? Like i said, this would be a perfect job for me on disability. The pay guarantee is not in all markets they also charge you for the app and the only track miles while in delivery this app sucks. It stopped logging in my DoorDash stuff. Only will track Instacart and grubhub can't get it to work with any other app. We have to many things to pay for already don't pay for a mile tracking app there are free ones out there

Get upside I just tried today but I could not even get into the app to check out anything because they wanted so much information up front including my banking information and social security number. So I changed my mind and deleted the app

I don't know about linking my accounts I have trust issues

Wish it also kept track of expenses

Can I write down my mileage on a piece of paper and not use an app

@@doublerrplay2826 Long story, but my mom gave me her car, so everything is under her name. And no my name isn't under the insurance as a driver because of financial reasons. Doordash and Amazon Flex accepted me tho, that's why I'm like wtf. I had a moving violation years ago, maybe that's why, but everything else accepted me.

Yeah, I put in the description that they process the payments every Tuesday for the previous week. So make sure you have a gig app linked and your Venmo or PayPal👍🏻

So I've got a question about solo and mileage tracking. I've never used any of these mileage tracking apps because in my experience they only track mileage while you're actually on a live order. I've always manually done my mileage because of that. As long as I have an app on and I'm attempting to take an order and I do end up actually taking an order, everything that I drove while I was driving around with the app on is then counted as business mileage. Just wondering if solo takes that kind of thing into account?

Yep, we do! As long as you have the Solo app on we will track your miles! So if you open the app as your driving out to your first pickup point, do your entire work day, and then close the app when you're done working, we will match your working miles and categorize them as "deductible" and take the rest and categorize it as "personal" within 24 hours. Then you can go back in and change/edit any of the tracked miles and switch them from "personal" to "deductible" so you can maximize your savings. Solo why you got to lie I got it and found out that in fact it does not track all your miles only when on a delivery screwed me out if a week of miles because of that. It only tracks miles when on delivery don't let these people lie like that

I just downloaded it today & have not even left my sofa but it is adding milage while I'm sitting on my ass not even in my car. I have not even started my car today, so this app is already a joke. I would never pay for this app because it is already glitching..

Guaranteed pay is a scam. Solo will claim you worked outside of metro boundary even if you only go to restaurants/stores within the zone designated by that particular gig. For example, on Spark, if I only go to Walmarts listed in what Spark designated as the Myrtle Beach zone, Solo will get around paying their guarantee by claiming "worked outside metro boundary", even though Solo won't show you what that boundary is. SCAM. People only make money from it by peddling it on other people.
