Sir, I started learning guitar in 1968. I was on the road for most of the 70's and 80'S. I recently discovered your channel. Just want to say how much i enjoy your videos. You are a wonderful player. In one of your videos you felt some frustration about your progress, well I've felt that way many times. But then out of nowhere I get inspired and it's all fresh again. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your videos. John Williford La Grange Texas

Agree. I bought a ReVolt about 4-5 months ago and really like it, but I never got around to making a video on it. I still prefer my Synergy version of those 3 amps, as those have much more headroom and clarity, but the ReVolt is a great value and sounds very good, and as you said it’s super simple.

I’ve been using a Milkman 100 and like you love it every time I plug in. A preamp tube and 100 watt class D amp with a wonderful cabinet sim (creamback style). One amp style: Fender. It’s a hybrid solution for using a cabinet (a 1x12 neo-creamback!) or going direct, which I now do at gigs. Not as juicy as tube amp but a great tight low end. Until now I’ve struggled with finding a truly great, beautiful clean tone. Takes pedals well but I’ve been fine tuning the grain structure. It’s a little different animal. And I’m done with maintaining tubes amps except for my favorite, modded Blues Junior. Love your storytelling!

I've pre-ordered the Revolt when it was announced (I think winter NAMM) and when I got it was literally like a kid opening a Xmas present. It was so exciting, and I must agree it's pretty easy to use and fun to play around with. Obviously it's not the same as actually plugging in/mic'ing an amp, but it's pretty close and since you can play around with 3 tones. My living situation has also changed to needing more of a silent play session it helped a lot in that department too. I've now got a pedalboard power supply that's got enough power to juice this with the rest of my pedals I have a 1 plug power solution and it's been so convenient.

I discovered the Behringer Tube Amp Modeller which I feel is overlooked. It does the Marshall, Fender and a Mesa Boogie. I suppose it's closer to the SansAmp than anything. You can select the clean or dirty channels and mike positions. For the price (like 25/30 bucks) it's a steal. I was so impressed I bought another one just so I could switch faster between Marshall and Mesa being mostly a blues/rock player. If you're on a budget and not sure about the whole simulation thing this is a great way to start.

I like your video, format, speed, content and quality is awesome ! To answer your question, I've just ordered a Quilters Superblock US (vintage fenderish tones). It's full 25watt or 1watt amp that you should like with something like a Tchula (as you like light OD sound). I can't understand the digital trend myself, as i tend to dont be involved with them as i am with analog or tube when i play. It's a feeling after all, not easy to translate via youtube content i imagine.

I have the revolt bass , I love the clean channel very much over all the other channels... It sounds really good , it's also a practice amp for me because of the headphone out. But for a one trick poney, it's not cheap , I use also the opus from two notes , it is a little bit less pricy sounds also good (all digital) but does a million things so it's hard to choose wich one to keep!

Love these videos, your personality and phrasing reminds me of my nephew, even the sound of your voice. Now that I’m done gushing, I haven’t used the two notes stuff but I have the Vox silk drive and mystic edge, and they are all analog with nutubes same as the mv series amps by vox. They never really caught on but man they sound great and take pedals better than most things, definitely worth a try. Sweetwater and guitar center have quit carrying them but you can still get them direct from Vox and I think the price is down to 99$ US.

Hey, that's a really cool device. Also, I enjoy the videos you make. I, too like analog pedals other pedals pre amps and amps. But don't forget it's also your pick up like your single coil and hamburgers that help make the sound too along with the wood used to make guitar as well. Keep up the good work. Maybe do a univox guitar video. Oh well whatever nevermind.

Amp1 by Thomas blug. I am sure I won't be the only person who will mention it. It's a all in one analog solution. Plug it straight into a cab or line out to your interface. He also makes the analog blug box, which is a cab sim. I use my cabzeus with my amp1 rig. But I am sure you have heard of both of these things. The cabzeus stereo isn't analog. It's like the ox stomp. The same kind of function sounds great and comes with software.

I'm still discovering all the pathways open in my ReVolt, but I do have to admit that I don't use my amp onstage anymore. I normally just use Channel 1 with my pedals, as the boost function can push it into another amp sound completely, but it's also great to know that I have two other channels to use, each with it's own boost function. It's really great versatility, and the cab-sim feature means I don't have to have a cabinet onstage, either.

I haven't tried any analog amp sims. However, I used a Strymon Iridium for two years and now have Blackstar's Amped 1. As a hobbyist who doesn't want to irritate the whole family, I don't need a traditional amp anymore. I wouldn't be savvy enough to tell the difference between an analog amp and a sim, digital or analog.

Kind of reminds me of the old Digitech pedals that used 1 preamp tube back in the 90's. I used, and still have, a Vox Tonelab pedal that is tube driven. Although I believe it's a hybrid pedal combining digital and analog, it has 33 amp's and 16 cab's. If you can't find something usable with all those choices then you should just become a drummer! 🤣 The two notes didn't sound very analog to me. Were you going direct into an amp or into an interface? Maybe with different ir's it would sound less digital?
