The Omni Grove Park Inn Accessibility

This was a short 2 day stay during our mini-moon and we didn't get a whole lot of footage but wanted to share the accessibility of the Inn and Spa. The Spa was such a great experience and they were willing to help in any way needed. They do have a portable lift for the pool area as well as accessible showers/bathrooms in the spa, plus a cafe (closed during covid but believe you can still get food from the restaurants upstairs) so that you can get ready there and spend the day enjoying the spa and getting your money worth!!
The Spa can be used even if you don't stay at the hotel, which is exactly what we'll do next time because of the other places we found in the area that were actually more accessible, cheaper and more cool! Stay tuned for those!

Looks like a very nice place to stay. I’ve never understood why hotels put the wheelchair accessible rooms on the upper floors. Every hotel I’ve asked how a wheelchair user is supposed to get out in case of a fire or tornado (this is while traveling through tornado alley during tornado season) and they either give you a blank stare or say to wait in your room until the fire department gets to you. Fortunately, I use a WCMX Box Wheelchair with full suspension and can go up a few stars and down a lot of stairs. But, what about someone in a 300 pound power wheelchair? I understand having a few rooms on the upper floors for someone who wants the higher floor, but they should also offer them on the ground floor. I myself prefer the ground floor. Thanks for the video.

Yea it's not the smartest decision on their part or having the accessible room at the end of a long carpeted hallway.
