I think he is mixing up the guilt he feels for the child and for the divorce that he was somewhat involved in(as manipulated since the father told him you ruined my life instead of admitting to himself that he ruined his own life), such guilt-trip is what made him feel empathy also towards that manipulative pedophile. Feel pitty for the son, but the son can just disown his father, and move on to his mother. He is old enough to feel his emotions with his mother rather than side with the father and let the poor mother suffer alone this tragedy.

A lot of men are now porn addicts and entitled in their behaviour online to girls. This happens behind closed doors way, way too often. Sadly. Too much teen, barely teen and adults made to lol like literal children porn online being consumed and normalised encourages this behaviour and creates more online offenders as the years go on. It's always been high since the early days of the Internet, but the rate of offending is through the roof.

I dont even see where you get the idea the internet creates more child offenders. most men dont get on the internet to ever interact with kids. You ahve to seek that shit out. The communites get banned everywhere and its always policed. unless you can use the dark web. These people wouldve most liley done this anyway, because a lot of pedos are bron from child hood trauma. It just needs to virtue signal that the person typing it is outraged and heavily opposed to what is taking place. And that outrage makes them a good person in the mobs eyes. Kamikaze's comment for example. It's laughably false, making an assumption that absolutely no one can change their predatory behaviour. Even though recidivism rates for sex offenders is at 20-30%. People like him would argue that the people who haven't reoffended just haven't been caught yet. He's acting like they aren't being monitored and routinely checked up on 247. I'm sure that a fair amount of them do get away with more predatory behaviour. But to insinuate that all people who have engaged in predatory behaviour in the past spend the rest of their existence hiding in the bushes outside your local school and that absolutely none of them can be cured, is quite frankly delusional.

@@MultiMoodGamerno offence but as someone also working in this field and with my own life experiences with family members... the rate of reoffending is waaaaaaayyyyy higher than your statistics. That is simply the ones who get caught again. Imagine, the most secretive of crimes and the most manipulative people, not many get caught again... and that is actually a damn high number for a crime like this happening yet again and them ending up back in prison. Believe me and many others who know these people... they keep doing it and some are just then better to hide it. Some get caught years and years later, some never get caught again and some, sadly not many, apparently do change. The ones who do change tend to just be full on porn and sex addicts who escalated to more taboo material/attracted to danger like this. Many addicts though, like drug addicts, still relapse until they get better.

Had he sounded crazy on the phone call or had his kid explained that his dad was extremely mentally unstable then you could feel more remorse toward Matt, but I bet you’d feel less sorry for him if he preyed on your own child. Feeling sorry for the family is 1000% understandable but this behavior is unacceptable, and if he really is mentally ill enough to be repeatedly going on Omegle to hit on minors then clearing his name will only make it easier for him to do it again. If anything, be glad that your video allowed this to surface bc this has the potential to act as an intervention for Matt.

Hey Nico, don‘t feel bad and like you have to apologize to the man in question. It is very good that you‘re handling this respectfully, not making even more fun of him and making it go as easy as possible even though it is truly a difficult case. I see the perspective of the guys kid and I would have deleted the videos too. However I find anything beyond that is not your concern, conscience wise I mean. He may have an illness that makes him prone to something like that, but anyone who is in full awareness of their actions also has to take full responsibility. I understand him not wanting to do any interviews, that is still his choice, but you owe him no apology as he brought this upon himself. And even if it was difficult for him to stop, he could have tried getting help from anywhere. Simply by being honest with your own feelings, you can prevent those of others being betrayed. If he had anything, this would have been the one moral that would have been enough to reduce some of the damage. And anyone not severely impaired by a mental illness is capable of doing so. Now he is forced to take responsibility, and although that may be hard for him, this will be a great lesson for him (hopefully). I find by giving him pity, he won‘t take anything from it. But he has to if he has any value for others and himself, in the best scenario even change this behaviour, aswell as if he doesn‘t want to be locked up. Because remember, what this man did is a crime, not a mistake.

You see first hand what these child sexual predators are like every single day, multiple times a day. The way you could ever try to excuse this evil is pretty damn shocking. However, the only person who should feel any kind of blame or responsibility for this is the predator. He has brought this on himself and you have done the family a big favour. It’s best for them in the long run. Keep doing what you’re doing. There is no excuse for what he’s doing. He clearly never learnt and has been doing this for years. That’s no mistake in my eyes.
